everything in general was great, beautifully organized and an amazing experience and very interesting. it is a must see place in San Francisco

It was really busy with so many people around and I expected to see more of the buildings from the inside. The audio tour was really nice and the staff handling it were extremely efficient.

We really enjoyed our time on the tour and exploring the grounds of Alcatraz. The night tour was so much more intense than the day tour I took last year. It’s beautiful. Please check for dates of renovation or exhibit closures. The Indigenous People’s exhibit was beautiful! PS The gentleman on the ferry… the red-headed, bearded one with the glasses, he’s a huge asset to your organization! He’s hilarious, personable and all the while absolutely professional. Please give him his kudos and a raise! 🥳

All guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Very interesting short programs to attend in addition to the self-guided audio tour. Really enjoyed it. Definitely worth doing.

Overall, it was an awesome experience. But it is too bad, that some sections of the island and prison are inaccessible (multiple external buildings, dinning hall, yard, dungeons). Once it's all reparied and opened it is going to be a truly legendary experience. A reason to come back :) But even now, the staff and the exhibition are giving a lot of interesting insight. And the workers know the history very well and are happy to share it. I recommend to visit the night tour - it has some additional attractions and access to some sections of the prison, that are not available during the day. One major donwside are the speakers on the boat - they are utterly useless. I was standing right under them and could not hear anything. So if there were more cool details about the island I would not know.

I didnt realize we could have stayed the day there exploring. I booked nighttime boat to get all the extra perks! Info, lectures, and cell door demo was amazing!!

Great customer service starting with the quick response to my inquiry email, to the staff on the ferry, the lovely Park Ranger who answered all of our questions and the volunteers that we met along the way. The audio tour was well done, easy to follow and very informative. Excellent experience all the way through.

It's a great historical education experience. Definitely worth considering on your San Fran trip.
