Luggage didn't arrive for a week. Flying back from Maui to Seattle we had to wait on the tarmac for a half hour, then had to run to our gate. This part was not Alaska's fault, HOWEVER...our luggage didn't make our connecting flight to Pittsburgh. We arrived into Pittsburgh in the early afternoon, our luggage arrived later at 9:30 on a different airline. The problem is that I had another connecting flight on a different airline to get home. I called Alaska baggage claim and was told that they would get my luggage to me the next day. I called several times to have them tell me that my luggage was in Pittsburgh, but that FedEx didn't pick it up. It was the following Tuesday before my luggage arrived. And it arrived damaged. I called numerous times and talked to several people, I emailed, I texted, I chatted. Nobody seemed to care. One week to get out luggage, it's been almost a month since we traveled and we still have yet to hear anything from anyone at Alaska

On my recent flight to SFO from IAD, my bag never made it on the plane so I had to pay a large out of pocket fee to deliver the late bag to my final destination. The bag didn't make it on the plane because the representative at the ticket counter at IAD received my bag telling me "you're good to go sir" when in fact it was too late for my bag to be checked onto the flight. I was misinformed by the Alaska employee at the ticket counter and she made a mistake. This is totally forgivable, if its fixed, but Alaska failed to do this. I repeatedly called customer service, and even resorted to emailing senior executives at the company - even they couldn't get a resolution! I consistently encountered an "its not my problem" attitude at Alaska, which was really unfortunate. Customer services is a critical piece when choosing an airline to be committed to in the long term - take my experience into consideration.

No flat bed in first for a night flight is unacceptable and had the nerve to want to charge for majority of food and drinks in the lounge! Guess the fare isn't high enough!

First they pretend we did not pay for our luggage and charged us twice. Next they give us faulty advice on what can go in the luggage and all in all an extra 200 usd lost on this one flight. I can promise we won't be flying with this airline again. I have avoided BA for 12 years so surely this smaller company can be avoided as they are not competent and end up costing you more than the alternative.

I am currently sitting at the gate, once again, waiting for Alaska to make up some ridiculous excuse as to why our flight is being delayed for an indeterminate amount of time. I have flown Alaska 20+ times in the last year, and without fail, there is a 1-3 hour delay. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've heard every excuse in the book - plane hasn't landed, plane needs a gas refill, plane isn't at the gate yet, no knowledge of air control traffic. EVERY TIME, I waste HOURS of my life waiting. There is no transparency at all throughout this entire process. I always have to ask security what's going on. As customers, we are given absolutely no explanation as to what's happening, when the delay will be over. I've missed countless important events in my life due to the ridiculous inefficiency caused by Alaska Airlines. Maybe today's delay is minor, and I wouldn't be complaining unless this was a repeated offense. Check my flight history and see how many delays I've experienced in my time with Alaska. This is appalling, downright disrespectful, and an obscene waste of my time as well as the customers around me. I will not be continuing to fly on such a joke of an airlines and I will be informing all of my friends never to use Alaska Airlines again. This is ridiculous.

In April we had to cancel our May flight because of an urgent surgery. My surgeon wrote a note in my medical record that I couldn’t fly until June. Alaska didn’t care and so charged us $125 penalty fees to cancel. If you die they will give you a full refund so I guess they don’t allow cadavers to fly. Is Southwest the only compassionate airline remaining?

One of the worst airlines I’ve dealt with. Literally the 3rd time they have cancelled the flight. THE DAY OF. Very unreliable. Most likely will not be flying with them ever again. I get better service at United, which usually never happens.

The most cramped and uncomfortable seats ever. After 2 hours they become painful. On both of my round trip legs there were problems with the WiFi and the onboard intertainment systems. Flight attendants just laughed about it like they’ve been hearing it for months. I will never fly with them again.
