Worst airline phone customer service. 47 mins on the phone waiting to speak with someone and they just don't answer. Don't even bother calling them since they don't answer their customer service phone line. I had to drive directly to the airport and speak with someone at the counter, and yet; they couldn't make changes on my flight.

There is absolutely no way Alaska shouldn't improve their food service at this point. I fly from Seattle to Tampa every couple of weeks is 5 1/2 -6 hours and there is no food service in "PREMIUM" Coach (you can buy it if you want) but alls it is nothing more than some cheese and fruit and the price is basically the same as it is in first class. You can get no cocktails but you can buy beer and wine in cans. Ah - hello they serve hard liquor in small bottles and you can buy mixers in a can! It is clear they are just cutting cost and this is likely the new way to fly on Alaska!! Checking out on Alaska and I am over a million miles!

I'm going to try very hard to not fly Alaska Air again. They were aggressive about mask enforcement, and gave my son a yellow card because his mask was below his nose. Meanwhile my husband walks back to the galley in the back, where the crew hangs out, and one of the flight attendants audibly warns another to put her mask on, that passengers are coming.

Paid $1000 more than main cabin, and the main cabin got service started before 1st class. 3-1/2 hour flight and I got a small room temp can of coke with no ice. Flight attendant never asked again for anything else. People in the main cabin kept going up to the front of the plane to use the first class restroom and nothing was every said. I paid extra to be more safe from covid and not having half the plane walking by to use the restroom. The plane with filthy. Across the isle, the side of the seat was covered with spilled coffee. The seats was dusty and had someones dirty shoe prints on the back. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned of vacuumed in years. The snack tray was broken and wouldn't stay flat. Basically I just paid $1000 extra dollars to sit one row in front of main cabin. I have flown first class on other airlines, and this is far the worst. Don't waste your money on first class, if you decide to fly Alaska. I will drive next time. I just wasted $1000 extra dollars for nothing because I got last class service, not first class. Alaska sure has gone down hill.

I had purchased a layover flight with a stop in Seattle coming from Chicago. My connecting flight to San Francisco from Seattle was cancelled due to weather that morning while I was in route to Chicago O'Hare that morning so I was unaware. As soon as we landed in Seattle and could turn my phone on. I discovered the cancellation. I tried immediately to contact the airline. You could not get thru to customer service due to a 6-7 hour wait time. we were also stuck on the aircraft for significant time after landing due to our gate being occupied. I was not issued another flight and decided to book another flight myself while on the aircraft as Alaska Airlines was unavailable to help me or any other passengers in need of assistance. I purchased a ticket to Oakland thru Alaska Airlines website for $185 while waiting to maybe get to our gate. The site indicated this was the last ticket available. It was not to my destination, but it was out of Seattle. I emailed customer service the next morning with the details and the fact they never got me to my final destination. I finally received a response 4 days after reaching out to them. They told me they could not help me because I had purchased my own ticket and used it and offered me a $75 credit towards a future flight. I paid to get to San Francisco and they only got me to Seattle. Well it looks like they failed to deliver. They were not going to be able to get me to San Francisco until the next day as it turns out after speaking directly to an agent this morning which is why I felt compelled to purchase my own flight as I had no way of knowing if they could help me that day. Terrible customer Service!! 3 weeks later I have decided to update my review. It is now a 1 star after spending hours trying to recoup my additional cost due to their failure to get me to my destination. In which to this moment have failed on both counts. I would fly Spirit before I would fly this airline again!

They cancelled our flight the morning of and moved it to two days later. We had to book a flight same day with different airline for $280 and they refuse to reimburse us!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. The ladies at the kiosk insist we call customer support and customer support has a 3 hr hold time to speak to a rep. Spoke to "Julie" on FB and she wrote to me: "We refunded what you paid us. I'm sorry that you had to pay more for another flight but since it was due to a weather issue, we would only be able to rebook you on another flight but not reimburse you the difference you paid. I'm sorry about your frustration. ~Julie" When we got to the airport to get on our new flight the one we were booked for with alaska was still on and on time. They were just overbooked. To add salt to the wound after her response she blocked me on messenger and on their FB page from commenting.

I would not recommend for anyone to book travel through Alaska anytime soon. During the beginning of the pandemic I booked tickets for the holiday season, that should have been cancelable without fees - however the travel credits are only good for so long and with the uncertainty of when I’ll be able to use them, I’ve asked for a refund. Even though I’ve spent tens of thousands on travel with Virgin Air and Alaska over the last 12 years, they are not willing to budge on their refund policy. I will never book travel with Alaska again.

They like to pretend to be the good guys, but the DOT has said that they want airlines to offer cash refunds (with all tickets not just refundable ones) and not just vouchers as part of the Covid crisis. We called them and requested that because previously we accepted vouchers. We could really use that money back because one of our income streams has been cut in half. They said the crisis was not their fault either so they are keeping our money and only offering vouchers good for 22 months. Yeah, I'm sure we will be taking some big vacation in the midst of the oncoming recession/depression. Meanwhile, they continue to fly empty planes polluting the sky and endangering employees just to keep their routes. Honestly, this has been so poorly managed, I doubt that AA even has the funds on hand to return to us. Like a bratty teenager at Spring Break they likely already blew that money on foolishness. No one in Portland cares about how many Timbers games you sponsor when you are keeping what could now be our rent/grocery money. Yeah, it sucks if your company goes under, but no company is more important than an individual's family. Off to look for a class action lawsuit to join, good luck with your corporate begging in Congress. Update: One month later, still more importatnt to keep our $2500 than to do the right thing. Even after getting our tax payer money as a bail out. SHAME on all of them.
