My wife and I flew from Oklahoma City to Kauai. The return flight was delayed due to a mechanical issue. While the delay was frustrating, I certainly don't want any airline to take off in a plane that's not perfect. Without getting into exact nu.bers, Alaska gave us certificates towards future flights and refunded a portion of our initial reservation cost due to having to fly a different class on our return flight. Bottom line, there was a delay but Alaska treated us VERY fairly and that's all we could ask.

I've been flying with this airline since the twenty-tens and have yet to experience in dissatisfaction with their customer service quality. Their ground staff (check-in and gate agents) have always been very pleasant to deal with, as have their flight crews. I've had the experience of receiving excellent service in both first class and economy(cattle-car). I can't for the life of me understand why certain people nitpick every aspect of life to pieces.

Yippie yay. The merge seems to be complete. Promised benefits to perks have been pretty seamless the last 7 months or so. *roughly 5 round trips totaling 4000 miles each way; guessing its more but don’t want to overstate my experience or rather time in the sky with said company. And to note. These trips tend to involve 3 planes and 2 layovers with rarely hitting under a two 8 hour shift. Ie runs into what would be two 8 hour shifts back to back with bleed time into the third consecutive 8 hour shifts. Which sadly and yay, is something as consumers buying into corporations that abuse us as such. Would never be an ideal flip. Pilots, crews gates, ground, nor air. So yes, it would be AWESOME if said greed machine took in considerations that some customers are just not 4 hours and done. Some are doing 18, 19, 20 hours plus in putting their patronage into said establishments. Preboard those that you are running a slave train on in traveling your brand. Which then yay let’s talk about seat safety. My goodness. You can not safely sit three adults with any height and or weight in your current seat configuration in premium, economy, basic. Yah just can’t. The seats are not wide enough. And my goodness x2, lets just forget about anybody that is over 5 foot trying to cram their legs into the seats with current legroom standards. This too should render some level of neglect in airline safety via product sold. Any thing over a 4 hour flight where a passenger is forced to sit in a cramp position should be a company wide policy FAIL. One also little pet peeve to flying well into the 3rd 8 hour work shift. The gossiping and jr high school caddy behavior associated with gossiping is quite deplorable and lacks any true professionalism; no, i do not care that it happens more on lesser flight times. There is still a level of decorum that should be maintained. Gossiping and acting less than to any passenger just looks poorly and unprofessional.

Needed to cancel flight from LAX to Liberia at last moment due to family illness. Ground staff (who were very helpful checking in the rest of my family who did take the flight) suggested writing to Alaska Airways which I did - but expected nothing. They replied within a few days with full refund for my flight. Amazing. Sorry to see they aren't getting many 5* reviews! Maybe they're turning a corner??

Flew to Boston with this airline compared to the likes of spirit it was a more better experience ! Great legroom really good customer service will use them for future trips in the US

I live in Ireland and have just finished a chat with Randi from Alaskan Airlines and he was so helpful and booked the seats for me that I wanted. He couldn't have been more helpful. So thanks again Randi for helping me out and for seeming to be very friendly. Your kindness meant a lot to me.

On a business trip to Spokane, Washington, my return trip to Boise, Idaho was scheduled to leave at 12:30 in the afternoon. I arrived at the airport quite early and noticed they had an early flight at 9:00am. I asked the gate agent if I could switch my flight to the earlier one. The flight was light so they let me switch, at no cost, and they upgraded my economy seat to a first class seat, at no cost. This is what I call first class customer service. Good show Alaska Airlines!
