Why is your baggage check so late
Why is your baggage check so late? My flight is at 5pm and your baggage check doesn’t open until 3pm at IAD. We had a line and no place to get water food or sit down for those who have a disability.

I paid extra for an exit row seat and then minutes before boarding they changed it to a normal seat, refused to refund my payment, and in the chat support they just said: "Sorry there's nothing we can do" and ended the chat. Alaska used to be my go-to for flights, but something has happened over the last year or so (the merger maybe?) and it's super disappointing. So sad to see what's happened to them!

I’ve been a frequent flier on Alaska for 20 years and very happy. Lately the website/app are very undependable. Don’t know if AI is causing chaos or some other reason, but it is frustrating.

Long time customer. Regularly maintain 100k frequent flier miles. Alaska Airlines customer service was declining pre-Covid, and then fell through the floor post-Covid. Just like the rest of the airline industry AK flights are regularly delayed, the airline has lost my luggage on multiple occasions this year already, and even when a flight is on time or arrives early, the flight regularly has to sit on the tarmac WITHOUT lavatory access because all gates are being used by other delayed Alaska flights. Alaska pretty has adopted the airline business model of seeing how crap the air flying public can tolerate and still buy tickets.

After paying $70 dollars to check two bags, they charged me $150 for my fishing rod tube, which, on every other airline that I’ve ever flown, I’ve never had to pay for. I take at least two fishing trips a year, flights both ways, never been charged for my rod tube. So for $150 I’m never gonna fly with them again. Hope the $150 was worth it Alaska Air 😂

I had just attended my fathers funeral as he had unexpectedly died 3 weeks prior. It had been a lovely service but a very challenging time. I was looking forward to some closure in the process but Alaska Air was going to make my experience much more challenging in the next 4 days. In my carry-on bag I had my work laptop, some mementos of his including a gold watch he gave me worth well over $2000 plus my car and house keys and numerous clothes and shoes from the 3 day visit. On Tuesday 8/2 I boarded Alaska Air flight 3496 from Sacramento to Portland OR and set my carry-on luggage in the overhead bin above my seat in 7A, business class, right behind first class. When landed, my carry on bag was missing, I asked if anyone had seen it, the flight attendent said it was in baggage claim. I went to baggage claim, it did not come. They then called to the crew on the plane and they could not find it. I then filed a claim and the woman who filed it said she would check with Sacramento and that it was probably there. Next morning I call to see if they found it in Sac, no one called the night before, like she said she would! 12 hours lost in finding my back. Next few days, no word. Friday morning I get a call from LA baggage services and they found my bag on the plane that was in Portland, and apparently they DID NOT look for it. The woman in LA said if you want your bag, you have to set up a FEX X account and pay for it. I told her that I did not lose the bag, the flight attendent moved it. She said it was on the plane, I left it, it was my fault, and if I want it I have to pay for it. So, I shell out $585 for next day delivery. I called a supervisor and reported the incident. She was apologetic saying the LA person should have read the notes and not charged me. Insult to injury, FED X screwed up to and I got the bag 3 days later. So, work time lost due my computer being gone and so much stress. I barely got an apology and 3000 miles added to my account. I am appalled and how crappy they were to me and moved my bag with out telling me, and then lied about searching the plane and calling Sacraemento. And to think I paid $700 for this abuse, a business class ticket for a hour flight round trip. I have been a mileage plus member since 1994 and loved Alaska Air. They are not the same company anymore. Might as well be flying Spirit Air. I will be emailing the CEO and VP of customer service. update - they emailed me back apologizing, confirming they would make changes and gave me a $200 credit.

I am 75 years old and has to fly from San Jose to San Diego by flight no3462. My name is Meenakshi Natsrajan. I am really grateful to Miss Simran sdc who helped me with my luggage check in since I didn't have a card. Employees like her are very valuable and they should be encouraged in every way possible.
