Payment Distribution Runaround
***UPDATE*** - 06/10/2024
Here we are, over a month later and now I'm disputing a "failed transaction" charge with afternic, as they're claiming to have attempted to make my deposit...here, read for yourself:
"our first payout attempt was failed due to no account being found, on May 06, 2024, and was on hold due to the same issue on the 10th of May. The account not being found error was because the information was incomplete, and modifications started to be done from the 14th to complete the profile created, marking the account as fully completed on the 17th, at 12:03:14."
This is absurd. So, not only did I have incomplete information, but after not updating anything, somehow my info was now complete and my payment could be disbursed?
Mind you, read around...this is one of the same issues many others have had. What a nightmare.

My domain was sold on May 4, 2024. I was told that my payment would be dispersed on the 8th...then the 10th...then the 11th. The information noted here was shared throughout the Afternic UI. After not receiving payment on any of the dates noted, I contacted customer service, who in turn told me it should be by the 15th. After not receiving on the 15th, I contacted Customer Service via email and was told that I would be contacted immediately, which I of course wasn't.
After contacting Customer Service again today, the 17th, I was advised that there was an issue with my payment method. Oddly enough, not only was this not mentioned in any previous communication, but upon checking with the representative on the line, there was no issue found. I was advised to email yet again and to expect my payment by Tuesday the 21st.
The runaround I've been getting is absurd. The feedback you'll read around the internet appears to be true, if I judge against my own personal experience.
This will undoubtedly be the first and last time I use afternic's services.

I never signed up to sell any of my domains which I have over 25 with Go Daddy and the only one that was sold without my permission was the only one of any value. I paid extra for security on GoDaddy, but they allowed their company partner to sell my domain without my permission in the middle of the night.

Hello Kim ,
Thank you for your feedback and for the opportunity to clarify that as a Domain Aftermarket, our customers create accounts so that they can list their own registered domain names for sale. I would like to better understand your experience. I have sent you an email through Trustpilot requesting additional information.
My thanks,
JM

warning: stay away
Afternic listed one of my domains as "for sale", even though I never offered my domain for sale, and even though I was never a godaddy or afternic customer.
I had to make multiple phone calls. Their staff is friendly, but for the most part couldn't help me.
They also refused to see the point that offering other peoples property for sale without asking first is not right.
One of their agents pointed out to me that I better comply with their way of working, because godaddy is a large company. He suggest I should not "take them up".
Ultimately I let them pressure me to register an account myself, verify ownership of my domain, and then unlist the domain. The process did not actually work, and I had to make many more calls.
Now i'm stuck with an Afternic account that I never wanted, because their "delete account" functionality, on top of all the other headaches, is broken.
Definitely a company i will not be dealing with ever again if I can avoid it.

Hello hansi,
Thank you for your feedback and for connecting with us so that we could look into this further. Our team has received the deletion request and while a timeframe was provided for that processing, we are looking into expediting the request for you.
My thanks,
