Title: Paid for years only to get denied support when an accident happened. Complete scam. Review: I am completely unsatisfied with Aflac. I had an accident and tried to utilize my coverage, only to discover I had been paying for a short-term disability policy instead of accident coverage. When I requested to switch my plan to the correct coverage, Aflac completely refused to backdate the changes. As a result, years of hard-earned premium payments were completely wasted. This company takes your money for years and then leaves you hanging when you actually need help. It feels like a total scam and they should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid this company.

My agent of 20+ years was the reason I cancelled my policies with Aflac. I have had the same agent in Orlando for decades. I had no problems. Always cordial, so I thought. Last fall, I thought I had an Aflac claim, but it was denied. Yes, I was upset. I sent an email to agent's "assistant" that was strongly worded, but not towards her. The agent, I guess, not really understanding my email, proceeded to belittle and berate me for being rude to her employee and my threatening to cancel my policies. Her comments were extremely unprofessional, and was ill timed, as I was recovering from major health concerns. I even sent a message to Aflac (through website) stating that I wish to move to a different rep but I rec'd no response. So, she really is just a salesperson. No real compassion, just there for commissions. Not the angel she thinks she is. I'm just sorry it took so long to find out. Screen your agent.

Alfac used to pay out claims in 2-3 days. Now it’s a week or more. I was always SO impressed to see the money in my bank account a couple days after filing the claim. I felt like Aflac was a diamond in the rough. Now they are just like all the rest. Also, I recently found out my agent “doesn’t like” when our family physician sends the documents to her. She requests they get sent to the patient (me) to file on their own. What a nice representation.

I had Aflac for about 10 years. My husband died and I became disabled. When I reached out to Aflac for help, they denied me. I paid monthly the charges, as far as I'm concerned, I feel they are theives!! Please find another company so you don't pay for something that is never going to materialize!

What happened to the aflac of 20 years ago. My ex husband has cancer and filed a claim with them in january and is still going back and forth. Submitting and resubmitting forms and documentation over and over again. The physicians have submitted his diagnosis and the last mofo he spoke to with aflac said “ it doesn’t add up”. What doesn’t? Cancer! I think this is what they do. Take your premiums for years and when you finally need them. They don’t want to payout. At a time when you need them the most. Now that’s the worst kind of business and the worst kind of scheme to pull of the most vulnerable and weak. SHAME ON YOU AFLAC. You went from the best to the worst!! If you are considering giving them your business like I was. Go somewhere else!!

I hurt my self and my side got swollen , they, said that they had to cut some tissues out, I've been off work for 2 weeks I turned to all my paperwork in now they talking about they want proof of the accident, when I turned all the paperwork in, they started asking for paperwork that I don't have, I think they just don't want to pay me so I'm canceling the policy, I think Aflac is a ripoff

What has happened to the Aflac that my father and family trusted in 20yrs ago?? We used to receive payments within days now it’s months if not longer. We’re canceling our policy!

I have had my Cancer policy for thirty years. After getting breast cancer in 2022 it took an Act of Congress for Aflac to even acknowledge that I had submitted a claim and i had to submit and resubmit various exhaustive documentation to get my claim processed. It took months - all while fighting to stay alive during mastectomy, chemo and a year of immunotherapy. Now i filed a claim for my reconstruction and its the SAME thing all over again. Its a transparent scheme to avoid/delay paying out claims. .
