It seems Aflac doesn't pay out until…
It seems Aflac doesn't pay out until you provide an itemized hospital bill.... to prove you were hospitalized, even when you provided the ER reports, admission/discharge papers, and even the Attending Physician report outlining the medical codes, i.e., surgery, which is also located on the admission/discharge reports. The problem? Aflac says the insurance, via their commercials, is to help with costs, i.e., food, bills, expenses, etc. But it really doesn't help when it will literally take 2-3 months to actually receive a payment once approved, if approved!! Their response when I questioned this? They are regulated by GOVERNMENT guidelines and have strict procedures to follow..... imagine that!! Aflac isn't a private insurance after all .....
