I’m going to post Five Stars today, trusting that the two week delay will be resolved today. If it is not I’ll down grade this. The one thing I would always give 5 Stars is Barbara Blood, the local agent that has been so attentive to my account since day one. She has made several calls to get my Hospital payout deposited for my husbands pneumonia and SHE always responds if I check in. She expected it the next day— However Aflac dragging its feet. If it is going to be this hard I may not keep my other policies. -Katrina Payne Virginia

I was horrified by what I read in Aflac's reviews on Trustpilot. It definitely put me on guard. My takeaway is that it's important to be very careful about following Aflac's claim procedures and complying with the terms and conditions of its policies. That said, I've had several Aflac insurance policies for 15–20 years. During that time, I've only needed to use one of those policies a 2 or 3 times, and each experience has been positive. Most recently, I filed another claim, and once again, Aflac handled it well. Based on my personal experience, Aflac has been a pleasure to do business with. Billing has been seamless, policy information and disclosures have been clear, and my questions have been answered promptly, when I called Aflac customer service. I also appreciate that Aflac's customer service calls are handled in the United States rather than by an offshore call center.

I may be one of the few who have never had issues with Aflac. I've had them since 2018. I have several policies with them, and I must say they have always done a great job. I do miss the quick pay turnaround times, but otherwise, my claims get processed and completed. I always get great customer service as well. Like I said, I may be one of the lucky ones. They have been great to me, and I hope it continues. I truly believe many of the people here are missing paperwork, and it has to do with employers and doctors not sending in stuff. Even if information is denied, you can still turn in paperwork. Read EVERYTHING; that’s how I ended up understanding how meticulous you have to be and how hard you have to press the doctors' offices. Send all your paperwork. I sent Explanation of Benefits, bills, doctors' notes, everything. In the last year, I’ve had no issues with customer service (although slow) or getting benefits over 50k. You have to be meticulous and diligent. So I'm blown away by the difficulty people are having. I'm sorry so many are having trouble.

Shantelle Derico helped me right away after i told her that i have been on the phone for the last 3 days for a hour a day and still didnt get any answers. She explained everything to me was not rushing to get off the phone and even followed up with a email. She has been the best rep that i have delt with so far
