I went to a hospital with no semi private rooms and Aetna will not pay for a private room. I went into the hospital with a highly contagious diagnosis. It was RSV. No hospital is going to put me in semi private room. I have never had this problem with regular Medicare. I currently have Aetna Medicare PPO. I can’t wait to switch back to regular Medicare. This is going to cost me over $7000.00 out of pocket. I signed up for Aetna to save money, but in the long run it will end up costing me much more money. Also I tried to opt out on the website and couldn’t do it. There is a place to click on that says you can, but you actually can’t. It has to be in writing. Still waiting on the form.

Worst insurance company I have ever had. They denied everything do not out for the customers on their quality of life or what they can do for it. They’re out for themselves. They won’t approve anything. I am dropping them as soon as I can.

I've been a member with the same plan since I believe 2000, no issues with my Aetna premier ppo plan. Dec 31, 2025 I was informed that would no longer be using that plan, switched me over to Aetna Medicare elite ppo. In doing so, they missed the date, leaving me uninsured for the month, it also prorated my flex spending account, because according to Aetna, I had no insurance. Now I've lost money for the year. Your customer service is the worst I've ever seen, the last agent I spoke with, couldn't even hang up his phone when we were done with him, not helping us.

My company just recently switched over to Aetna and I am SO UPSET already! I was just denied a medically necessary surgery. My own surgeon is taking time out of this life to schedule a 1:1 appointment with Aetna's claim department to dispute this. This is ridiculous! I used to have Kaiser for years and NEVER ONCE had any issues with them. Aetna should be ashamed of themselves! What am I even paying for if I cant get the care I need?!!! WASTE OF MONEY! Oh and good luck with any of their customer service agents. None of them know what the heck they are doing and you'll find yourself running in circles and on the phone for hours for the simplest of requests. If I could rate 0 Stars, I WOULD!

I called 3-4 different times so far today, and each time get transferred to someone who asks for name, phone #, address, DOB, etc. Eventually they transfer you again "to get to the right dept.". On hold for 10-15 minutes, eventually they ask the same questions over and over again. They ask for your plan # and type, which I can't tell them because they've never told me. You ask for plan name and ID #, and they have to transfer you to the "right dept." again. Don't bother trying to use the web site. EVERY time on many different days you get "You don't have access to this account. If you have one of these other accounts, use the link to sign in." Really, I don't have access to my own account? So I try the Senior portal which I supposedly have and you get "An issue has been encountered, please try again.". You call the phone # it lists and get the same run around "trying to get you to the right dept.". Am currently on hold now this last attempt for 32 minutes - so far - listening to stupid piano music. Aetna ranks at the very top of POS companies. They can't even tell me the policy number or type of prescription plan. This is after well over an hour on the phone. Like I said, the web site refuses to log you in. This POS company will probably go out of business before long. Do not ever waste your time or money with Aetna. Now after 1.5 hours no one can tell me the policy type or number. Absolutely incredible.

I believe this company hasn't been in business long enough to be a good company denied claims price increase everytime you turn around i personal wouldn't recommend this company.

I am having a dental emergency and I am unable to set a PCD for my DMO. I have had to call 5 different times and every time I get conflicting information.

AETNA IS GARBAGE INSURANCE AND AETNA MEANS GARBAGE INSURANCE IN MY DICTIONARY 🤬🤬🤬 IF YOU CARE TO HAVE DECENT HEALTH INSURANCE STAY WELL AWAY FROM AETNA
