horrible customer service. had no info of account. address phone number of my account as I was talking to him. I think they are told to give the run around until the customer gets tired and stops asking questions. horrific customer service. embarrassing to treat elderly like this.

This is a terrible company
This is a terrible company. Shame on Medicare for not caring about old people. You can't get answers, and customer service knows NOTHING!
It's so very sad! I spent an entire day just trying to get a confirmation code to get into my account. Then, they couldn't answer any of my questions.

I called to talk about changing from a Medigap plan to an Advantage plan. The representative had no useful information to share. She could not even find a hospital associated with the PPO plan offered in my area. Useless.

Oxygen denied!
I'd really like to know how after being on Aetna Medicare since July 2023 and here we are six months later and suddenly my oxygen machine is being DENIED because Aetna has decided, NOT my doctor that prescribed it, AETNA says they don't feel it's MEDICALLY necessary? All my medications were listed including the oxygen before I even signed up. Arena's own health care team visited my house, took the list of medications the beginning of my coverage. I'm fighting to keep my oxygen now, I also have left Aetna Medicare and can't wait to get away from them ASAP. Ridiculous, very stressful and absolutely asinine. I have NOTHING good to say about them.

Truly horrendous. Stay away.
Truly horrendous.
I pay for the “gold plan” which is the best plan offered and they still try everything in their power to take every dollar they can.
In addition to the $1100+ per month that I pay out of pocket to be insured, the hundreds my employer pays on top of that, and the 2-3 rate increases since I started with Aetna 2 years ago, they charge crazy money and don’t actually give you the benefits you’re promised.
I have a $2,000 deductible before ANYTHING is payed for. Meaning unless I need major healthcare, it’s basically like I don’t even have insurance because every year I need to pay $2,000 for anything to even kick in.
On top of that, I had an ACL reconstruction surgery, which thankfully helped me meet the $2,000 deductible, but my “gold” insurance clearly states that physical therapy is unlimited as long as it‘a medically necessary. My physical therapist and surgeon both sent notes to the insurance stating that it’s medically necessary, and Aetna still charges me and sends bills to collections, putting false debt in my name, reducing my credit score, and most importantly, stopping me from getting the much needed care I need for my knee. Why claim I have a benefit and then do everything possible to stop me from claiming my benefit?
It’s been months since I’ve gone to the much needed physical therapy and my knee is feeling it. All of this because of Aetna.
Stay far far away.

So bad that I still get the shakes thinking about what they put me through.
Like most every plan in the healthcare industry, if you're in good health they're all good enough.
I specifically needed this plan to pay for an out of network therapist and although in their documents they say it can be accomplished, in reality it was a nightmare getting them to pay..which they didn't and I ended up paying out of pocket.
You see, any kind of support from their Advantage Plan is segmented by Provider or Customer. So, if you're trying to work with your provider to accomplish anything they force you to have two separate conversations..can you imagine the inefficiencies?
Not only that but half the time I got Reps that gave inaccurate information and good luck getting a hold of them again.
One week a Rep is working for T-Mobile and the next their offering solutions and answers to key questions of major importance to you..Really? Unreal....
In conclusion, if you're in good health, perhaps they're ok?
If you have any sort of out of the norm situation, I'd stay far far away from this company's Advantage Plan.

Recently moved to Aetna from United and I can say it's far far worse. My "deductible," is $3600 but they discount what I've actually paid to such a small amount that I will actually have to pay $18,000 before they'll start covering anything. Funny that I'll reach that point a short time before the end of the year and the whole thing resets. They're great at collecting fat premiums, but you'll have to pay for all your health care yourself.
