Tried to apply with these guys during the open enrollment this past year to save some money with their advantage plan. They denied my application because of the lack of permanent address! I got ONE letter and called to input the address, nice lady, maybe a 10 minute call. Next mail I get said it was denied. Already cancelled my supplemental and these jerks pull this. Many emails, poor replies. I just want them to tell me why a Special Election wasn't taken on my case, but, bottom line, I am glad I don't need to deal with these people. But I will be a thorn in their side til I get an answer! Please checkout their feedback, do not chose them for anything.

I have very little mobility of my neck due to a herniated disk between C5 and C6 and stenosis of my spinal cord. Aetna's pre-certification team has wrongly denied my surgeon's request for surgery. They claim that I do not have at least 6 weeks of conventional PT. Yet, I did have this amount of PT at my chiropractor's office. They claim that chiropractic documentation is not sufficient, yet only 5 percent of my session was spent talking to the chiropractor, while the remaining 95 percent of the session was spent in PT in their facility. Thus, Aetna is truly playing with words here. They are prolonging my pain and ill-health, and they should be brought to court for no upholding their own medical policies. They have no shame and do not care about the wellness of the people who pay their premiums each month. They are just racketeers who juice us of money, and do not help when it is medically necessary.

Worst costumer service they hang out just because

Very bad customer service. Overseas call center in India, you can only imagine how bad customer service is in that case. Avoid them if you can.

Aetna is running a bait and switch scheme. They reduce your extra benefits, once they have you signed up. I'm dropping them like a hot potato.

Use them only if you want to go bankrupt. Even though I tripled checked with both the Doctor and Aetna (CVS Health) website whether the doctor is in-network, they still found a way to deny all 4 of my claims. Their excuse was that even though the doctor is in-network, the facility (Candler in Savannah GA) that the doctor is at is out-of-network. I am now stuck with huge medical bills that I properly cannot payback in this lifetime.

I had an amputation on May 31, 2023 (over 7 months ago) and this company still will not approve my leg so that I can get back to work. They don't care that i have used all my savings and am close to losing everything. They don't care that i have NEVER missed a payment. They just keep denying me and delaying, in hops that I will give up. This is the single worst insurance provider I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. DO NOT USE THEM. They are only good for taking your money. You WILL lose money because of their shady business practices. It is that simple.

I was in need of an ACDF surgery. My neurosurgeon set it to emergency status because I was one minor injury away from being paralyzed for life. I couldn’t feel my hands for two years prior. My right shoulder and arm lost strength before the surgery. I would fall at least once a day from loss of balance. Aetna had more than 14 days to deny me. The day before my life-saving surgery they denied me and told me that they didn’t have to give me a decision until 14 days later. By the grace of God my neurosurgeon forced them to cover me hours before my deadline. Their policies are dangerous. I am afraid of how many people they have hurt through these games that they play. Now that the surgery is done I will spread the word far and wide until they change their ways. Aetna is malicious.
