No Health Care Available At Aetna. RUN. If I could give less than one star, I would. I chose (sadly) this plan, which in fewer than two months, I now regret. Aetna failed to properly process my claim more than a week before I ran out. I called to check on the delay, they claim that they ... rejected it ... immediately (20 years, only medicine to take). Several days later after checking on them, Aetna considered that now "a new claim," and had NO INTEREST that I would be missing my medication for several days because of them (i.e., HEALTH CARE?). I will be ill and miss work for more than a week because of this. In a phone conversation, Aetna misrepresented the steps that they took from the first moment my doctor sent the authorization request. Customer service explanations varied within two seconds of the conversation: She couldn't admit that she sent it to the wrong fax number. After being transferred twice, to two different people, one customer agent said she would call my doctor's office with me on the line. ... We were still holding after 20 minutes, and she kept claiming that they were not picking up. While on hold with Aetna, I called my dr. on my other line, and the dr.'s office picked up in fewer than 30 seconds. I do NOT know what she was actually doing. Earlier that morning, I called twice, and the dr.'s office picked up immediately. I got all the correct information for Aetna, and she had a direct connection to the office. Aetna agent said they would still require several more days for them to "decide." My dr. is notably a top dr. in his field, and no other medicine serves this function (several drs. have prescribed it for this purpose over many years). I guess they'll put their heads together and figure out a way to deny it (?). No insurance company in two decades has ever refused my urgent medicine. DO NOT PROVIDE THIS FAILING BUSINESS ANY INCOME!!! I am still sick and do not have my medication!!!

I have submitted a claim for fitness reimbursement three times starting in November of 2024. Each time I call at and ask why I haven't been reimbursed they can't tell me why, only that I have to resubmit the claim and it will take another 30 to 45 days. The four Customer Service people I talked to at Aetna are clueless. They have no idea what's going on and all they do is ask you to resubmit the claim over and over again so that they will never pay you!

Apparently DEI had turned this company into a remorselessly inefficient mockery of its self-serving claims. I had a Medicare Advantage policy for years, no complaints. And I'm healthy, no drugs, no prescriptions. See, the downside is that I am 78 which means i have a long memory of back when companies gave a damn. They used to have a few score "5" ratings on Medicare.gov: nobody does anymore. I showed up for a Feb 9 physical and the doctor was told my card was no longer active. They dropped that program, nobody told me. So I call, they apologize, and i enroll in a new plan, say around 14 Feb or so. It takes a long long time to enroll again. It's now 2 April 2025. NO CARD. Three separate calls, three separate promises. Got plenty of marketing materials, even got a bill. JUST NO CARD. So "we got you covered" means nothing if I can't prove it, and they can't get it together to do anything. Pointless. Going to try Cigna.

Aetna has policy of charging 90 day cost for prescription over 30 days. Insulin comes in 5 vial box. Which is 36 days for one and 71 days for other. So a member doesn't receive 90 days supply for 90 days charge. Cant believe legality of stealing. Or morality or how is ethical.

I paid under $6.00/month for drug coverage for several a Medicare Plan D. In 2025 on March 11, I noticed a credit card charge for just over $40.00 per month which I found had started in January. After investigating the charge, I found my Aetna part D plan had been canceled and, the company said, I had been notified in September 2024 I was being moved to a plan that cost over $40.00 per month. I was never notified. When I canceled the plan Aetna outlined a process that involved me downloading a form, mailing or faxing it to them, getting Medicare’s approval then paying the current months charge. After all that I might have the plan canceled. When I downloaded the form, at the bottom of the third page I found I could just call Medicare about the cancellation. I called and because I’m enrolled in VA health, I have “credible coverage” making Medicare’s approval a foregone conclusion. The entire process took several hours speaking to customer services agents whose English language skills were questionable.

Disgusting excuse for health insurance.

Where do I begin with this freaking company? First I like to talk about the terrible experience that I had with the marketplace since they basically put a wrong birthday in. And it seems like I have to contact more than one person to get the information right at first and then sign up with a certain plan. They redirected me and told me to go to a different website other than the actual Website. And then after being on the phone with a couple of rude employees saying that I am not a customer when I clearly signed up for it. It’s just the start of it. I have to re-enter my information and resubmit the application just because of a small mistake. And then they freaking link you up or redirect you to local agents. Like stop directing me to local agents because in this city, Metro Atlanta or Atlanta, there’s a lot of certain types of people with attitudes that you have to speak to. I simply needed insurance since I got laid off of my job. Even though I have to pay thousands of dollars of out-of-pocket costs, I should be treated with some decency because it goes to the government
