Hi, Tony. We are sorry to hear you had difficulty updating your software. Did you not receive the illustrated instructions? We will resend them to your email address of record. The process is fairly simple. 1. Install the software. 2. Click the button to import your data or in the case of a new computer import the data from a backup. 3. Enter your new registration key. The whole process should take no longer than 6 minutes including download time. Our desktop software products are not pre-installed on any manufacturer's computers, nor is it part of the Windows operating system. Our desktop software first needs to be installed on any new computer. We do offer a cloud version of our GroundsKeeper Pro software if you do not want to be bothered by installing software on your current or future computers.
