If I could give this warranty 0 stars I would. Have had them for 2 years and absolutely atrocious to work with, not renewing them a 3rd year. Their portal is dated and tickets sit there untouched. The contractors they have in their network are non responsiveness, over booked, or say you need to buy a new unit vs patch fixing ON EVERY CLAIM or it’s a service they cannot fix on the warranty - then what’s the point of this plan?! The house and appliances are 8 years old. When a customer does call within the normal office hours, Goodluck getting hold of someone. On the off chance someone does pick up after the 6th call, they either put you on hold or cannot provide assistance, giving the option of going out of network if they aren’t happy with the contractors they provided. Absolute scam. Our real estate agent suggested them, I provided her feedback and she will not be referring them again (so she says)

I will NEVER recommend 2-10 to anybody. Now even my worst enemy. We’ve been having ac issues for the last month. They sent someone out the first time. We paid the $75 service fee and was told that the information would be submitted. Called 2-10 for a week straight to see what the hold up is because we hadn’t heard anything from them nor had we heard anything from the company that they sent out. 2-10 kept giving us the run around and different excuses. I demanded that they give us back the service fee because it had been too long for nothing to be done. After going around and around with them, they still refused to give me the fee back so I told them that they needed to send someone else and that we will not be paying the service fee. They sent a different company with the same damn issue. Also to add, both companies told us two different things that were wrong. 2-10 came back and said that they wouldn’t cover the issue. Because we had gotten different information from the companies, I didn’t trust anybody that 2-10 sent out nor did I trust 2-10. The last company that they sent out, said that it would be $1500 to fix the ac issue. My husband and I decided to call Williard AC to come out and take a look. They came out the same damn day, didn’t charge a fee, looked at the AC and didn’t see the issues that the other two companies quoted. There was no issue with clogging or the ducts, it was a simple fix. There was a minor issue with the thermostat and it only took Williard less than 15 minutes to fix it. The issue was so minor, we weren’t even charged. Needless to say, we will be canceling our policy with 2-10 and switching over to a trustworthy, professional company. Customer service is terrible and service in general is just as bad. Worse company ever.

Our AC stopped working. 2-10 sent a contractor out who found a leaking valve and no freon. They sent us a estimate of $420 to replace the freon. We are on the Elite plan and freon is covered. I am now on my 5th day in a row trying to get them to correct their system so the contractor can come out and fix this. Every call they put me on hold and I explain the situation which they agree that I should not pay but give me some excuse that they cannot change it and a manager will call me within the next two hour. NO ONE HAS CALLED! This has happened every day. Do not buy this service!!!!

Infinite hold times. Life is too short to work with these guys. Don't waste your money or time.

Would give this company 0 stars if I could. Terrible customer service, no one is able to assist you and when they say they are assisting you, something ends up going wrong and no one calls to tell you so nothing happens and you have to waste more time calling back in to try and get this new problem solved. Can never talk to a supervisor and have to wait to hear from them and they never call you. They just continue to delay getting you what you need and never update you when problems arise so you are sitting there waiting with nothing happening on their end. Have had an unresolved claim for 6 months now and 0 progress on it.

You simply cannot get hold of people who can fix your issues. I called 4 times, waiting time over 2h. When I got a callback, they could not find my Plan with the ID# I am reading from their own website. Also, some of the calls were from overseas and were completely jammed, so I could not listen to the person. One of the calls, the person said, I would get another call because he only had the old system, and I would need to wait two more hours for it, I called since 8:00 am, and at 4:00 pm, I could not have my problem addressed. They are not serious and act as a scam. NEVER BUT THEIR PLAN the correct subtitle on their logo should be: LONG PHONE WAITING TIME UNHAPPY HOMEOWNERS.

I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after more than 2 months dealing with an unresolved HVAC claim through 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, I feel compelled to share my experience. My heating system claim was opened on 3/9/2026 after my attic furnace began leaking water into my ceiling. Since then, I have experienced repeated contractor responsiveness and communication issues. I was initially assigned multiple in-network HVAC contractors who either failed to respond or failed to move the claim forward. This forced me to temporarily obtain an out-of-network diagnosis to prevent further damage to my home. 2-10 later instructed me to return to the in-network process. An in-network contractor inspected the system, submitted the diagnosis, and the claim was approved with parts/equipment authorized. However, after approval, the contractor stopped responding and the approved work was never completed. Despite numerous calls, emails, and requests for supervisor assistance, I was eventually informed there may no longer be an available in-network contractor in my area to complete the approved work, and that I may now need to proceed out-of-network again — leaving me responsible for thousands of dollars in additional costs despite fully complying with the process requested by 2-10. As of today (5/20/2026), the claim remains unresolved and reimbursement for my previously submitted diagnostic invoice is still pending. I understand delays can happen, but the lack of communication, contractor coordination, and claim resolution has been extremely frustrating.

I have been a customer of 2-10 Home Warranty since 2015 and have faithfully paid around $122 per month for coverage. Recently, our water heater began leaking from the attic, causing water damage through both the second and first floors of our home. This was an emergency situation that needed immediate attention to prevent further damage and loss of hot water. Unfortunately, the warranty company’s response time was 2–3 days before they could send someone out, which was simply not realistic for an active leak causing damage throughout the house. Because of the urgency, we had no choice but to use an out-of-network provider to replace the water heater immediately. The total cost of the replacement was $4,813, yet the warranty only reimbursed $699. After paying into the warranty for over 10 years, this was extremely disappointing and nowhere near enough to cover the actual expense of an emergency replacement. While I understand policies and limitations may apply, customers should clearly understand how little coverage may actually be provided in urgent situations where immediate action is required. Based on this experience, I question the value of continuing to pay such high monthly premiums for such limited support when it matters most.
