Contacts were shipped to the wrong address, which was annoying. However, that’s happened with every competitor I’ve tried too (e.g. hubble) The difference with 1800 contacts is that a very professional agent picked up after the first ring and helped me get that corrected with their next business day shipping option for free. Mistakes happen, and when a business makes it right without making me jump through hoops, they’ve earned my loyalty.

Ok here goes.... I am a private practitioner in Southern, NH, and I see many patients who do shop for their contacts on 1800Contacts. I see many bad reviews here as well as many as I hear in person with my patients. No, I am not the cheapest, but I am the most fair, honest, and reliable to my patients contact lens needs. With that said, When I receive a prescription verification, it is to validate a prescription as well as confirm that a patient is healthy enough to continue wearing lenses. I want to provide the proper information and give my patients the choice of where they shop. Here is my complaint... 1800Contacts verification process is inconsistent, unreliable, and potentially unsafe for patients cornea and eye health. Us providers who do wish to comply with the Fairness to Consumers Act cannot do so accurately. For those of you who do buy from this company, it is your risk and that is why you should rely on your eyecare professionals.

I decide to order from them they quote 1 thing online then I start communicating with someone ready to place my order I place my order then shortly after they cancel my order saying the quote is incorrect SCAM STAY AWAY

I ordered multifocal contacts not realizing they were Toric. The script stated Toric so my fault. They called my doctor to verify the script and if I needed Toric or not. They verified that I indeed needed Toric lenses, then sent me regular multifocal "non-toric" lenses anyway. I called the same day. The representative told me the Toric lenses are more expensive. I paid the difference immediately over the phone. He said the Toric lenses are in stock and he would have them overnighted and I'd receive them the next day. Five days later still no lenses I finally called and the representative stated they are backordered and I wouldn't receive thenm for another five weeks. FIVE WEEKS! No glasses. Now no contacts. Can't work 'cause I can't see. But they kindly took my money.

i tried ordering lenses in march that i was told were on back order until may. i was given a specific ETA and it was the only place that was giving me a quicker time because apparently bausch + lomb was on back order everywhere?? they had said may 3rd specifically is when i’d get my lenses and even gave me free overnight shipping for the inconvenience. now, it’s may and i am being told they’re not getting the lenses from their manufacturer for ANOTHER 4-8 WEEKS. ridiculous!!!! i quickly cancelled my order. they take your money, hold it even though they don’t even have your lenses in stock and the reps have no clue what’s going on. unless you want your time wasted, don’t order !!!

Several attempts to check my order status were ignored. I started a chat at 9:26am today 4/28/22. Took a rep 4 hours to respond and with no answer as to my order status. I placed the order on 4/26. The rep told me several attempts to verify my script with my doctors office were made but that they weren’t answering the phone. I called my doctors office and someone picked up on the first ring. The rep requested me to obtain the script , which I did within less then 5 minutes I received it via email. I attached it to the chat and I waited another 2 hours for the rep to respond. The response was , we will still need to call your doctors office to verify the script . Then why ask me to get it ? Now it’s 10:00pm and I received an email that my order is canceled and a refund will go back to my card in 10 days ! Yes they charged me for the order before even shipping it . Shame on 1800 contacts. They definitely lost my business!

Please save yourself a lot of frustration and just don't order from them, I never will again. They do not honor their rebates. At all. I sent my rebate form in immediately after receiving my order back in January. It's now April 25th and I have no rebate, I have contacted them multiple times and they just keep pushing it back further and further. "Oh, we should hear back from the rebate department by May 25th,"etc. It says that you'll get your rebate in 4-6 weeks mind you, so this is false advertising and should be reported to the FTC. I filled out a BBB report about it and on April 12 they said "we're sorry, we'll send you a $50 refund " but again today is April 25 & I have NOT gotten any refund. I will be filling out another BBB report if I don't get it and probably FTC there should be a class action lawsuit against them for how many other stories Ive read where others don't get their rebates either. I don't think they even have a rebate department in all seriousness. STAY FAR AWAY FROM 1800 CONTACTS!!

I’ve been ordering through 1-800 Contacts for almost ten years. Never had an issue but unfortunately that changed. I ordered my usual contacts in February, plenty of time before I ran out. They were back ordered 2-4 weeks. A month passes, order not fulfilled. I call and am told it’s the manufacturer of the lenses. Bausch + Lomb are behind and not filling orders. So I’m told it’s going to be another 2-4 weeks. Wearing my last lenses, I ask what else they have that fits my prescription. They have another lens that works & say it’ll ship out March 31st. I went ahead and ordered but wasn’t told they were also Bausch + Lomb. Didn’t cancel my first order just in case they shipped out first because now I’m out of lenses. Second week of April, nothing has shipped. I call and surprise! Second order is also back ordered and again looking at 2-4 weeks. Neither order has shipped and both listed as “checking stock”. Customer service says they might ship in May but it’s not guaranteed. Might ship? Frustrated, I head to Costco & get a quick exam. Optometrist has no idea about Bausch + Lomb back order issue. She hasn’t had trouble getting anything. No issue getting me trials for my new/unchanged prescription from the same brand and placed an order through Costco. I’m disappointed. I cancelled both orders today and hope I receive my money back in a timely manner. My biggest concern is how Bausch + Lomb has no trouble fulfilling elsewhere but I waited over two months for 1-800 Contacts? Hopefully whatever issue gets resolved. I’d like to think I’ll order here again but time is important when you need lenses.
