I get lots of spam from this site. When I have tried to unsubscribe it does not allow me to do so. I have deleted my account and hope that works.
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Edward,
Thank you for your honest feedback – and I am truly sorry for the frustration our emails have caused you.
You are absolutely right to be upset when an unsubscribe link doesn’t work. That is unacceptable, and we take full responsibility for past failures in that area. Please know that this was never intentional, but rather a technical issue with our older email system.
The good news:
We have recently launched completely new email templates that include:
A guaranteed one-click unsubscribe button that works immediately
Clear, verified links (no suspicious redirects)
Full compliance with anti-spam regulations
Since you have already deleted your account, you should stop receiving emails automatically. However, if you continue to receive anything from us after deleting your account, please contact us directly at [email protected] with your email address, and we will manually purge it from every single list we have – no questions asked.
We are not a fraudulent company. We’ve been delivering free ecards for over 20 years, but we clearly let you down. The new email templates are part of our commitment to doing better.
Thank you for giving us a chance to improve, Edward, and again – our deepest apologies.
Sincerely,
123greetings Customer Support Team

Impossible to Use
For ~ 20 years I have appreciated using 123 Greetings It has many excellent features. Unfortunately in the past year it has become UNUSABLE. I have just tried to send a Birthday card 5 times- getting a bit further each time, before another ad appears, takes over the screen and when done- I have nothing- have to bring up the website again and start over. I was almost complete on try #5- then gone. This is the worst use of ads on any web site I have ever seen. It is almost unbelievably insane. Good buy 123 Greetings. Sorry!
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear longtime user,
First, thank you for being with us for nearly 20 years – that truly means the world to us. ❤️ And we are genuinely sorry to see you go under these circumstances.
You're right to be frustrated. We hear you loud and clear: the ad experience on our free website has become overwhelming, and that's entirely our fault. What you described – getting almost through a card only to lose everything – is absolutely not the experience we want for anyone, especially not a loyal user like you.
Here's what we've done to fix this:
We have just launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (available for both iOS and Android). For only $5.99 per year (that's less than 50¢ a month), you can:
Enjoy zero ads – no pop-ups, no interruptions, no lost cards
Send unlimited ecards smoothly
Save drafts and favorite cards
Get faster performance
We built this specifically for users like you who loved our service but couldn't tolerate the ads anymore. The mobile app experience is completely different – clean, fast, and peaceful.
If you're willing to give us one more chance:
Search "123greetings" in your app store, download the free version, and you'll see the option to upgrade to Pro for $5.99/year. We genuinely believe it will restore the experience you enjoyed for two decades.
Again, I'm so sorry we drove you away. Whether you stay or go, thank you for those 20 years. We hope to earn you back.
Warmly,
123greetings Customer Support Team

Infected
I received a notification of a Christmas card from a friend via an email from 123greetings.com. I checked the email address carefully to verify it was the right domain and the friend also let me know separately that she had sent the card, so I know I clicked on a real email from 123greetings.com.
While waiting for the card to open, the browser page was redirected to virussweep.sa.com, which is a fake antivirus site full of alarming popups that try to scam you into believing you are infected and that you need to click on something or call a number to fix the PC, upon which you get the real malware download.
I closed the page and that was that (I also ran a couple of scans and all fine), but clearly this company can no longer be trusted to deliver greeting cards in a safe manner. I know for sure my in-laws would have panicked and clicked on one of the fraudulent links if this had happened to them. I will make sure to never use this site or open another email from them and have told my friend not to use them to send me greeting cards in the future.
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear user,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention – and I am genuinely sorry for the frightening and unacceptable experience you had.
First, I want to reassure you: 123greetings does not intentionally redirect to scam sites like virussweep.sa.com. What you encountered is almost certainly a malicious advertisement that slipped through our ad network. We do not control every individual ad, and unfortunately, bad actors sometimes manage to inject scam redirects into legitimate ad platforms. That is absolutely not okay, and we completely understand why you no longer trust us.
You did exactly the right thing – closing the page and running scans. We are very glad your computer was not harmed.
What we are doing about this:
We have reported the malicious domain to our ad partners and are tightening our ad screening. However, the only way to guarantee zero risk from ads is to remove them entirely – which is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android).
For only $5.99 per year, the Pro app has:
No ads at all – zero popups, zero redirects, zero scam risks
A clean, safe environment to send and open ecards
Faster performance and saved drafts
The mobile app does not rely on mobile web browsers where malicious redirects can occur. It is a fully contained, secure experience.
Regarding your friend:
Please tell her we are sorry as well. She used us to send you love, and instead you got a scam scare. That breaks our hearts.
We are not a fraudulent company – we have been delivering free ecards for over 20 years – but we have failed you on safety due to bad ads. If you ever decide to give us another chance, please use the mobile app with the Pro upgrade, or ask your friend to send cards that way.
Again, our deepest apologies. Thank you for being honest and for taking the time to warn others.
Respectfully,
123greetings Customer Support Team

Avoid 123 greetings Leads to scam site
Clicked on a free E card to send and before I had had the chance to say to whom to send it I got a message saying quick-tutor had done an active card check and would be taking £50pm. All without me visiting their site and now I haven't sent the E card. Looks like total scam. AVOID
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Elspeth,
Thank you for reporting this – and I am truly sorry for the alarming experience you had.
Please let me be very clear: 123greetings does not charge any fees for sending free ecards. We have never taken money from users without explicit, voluntary payment (such as our Pro app upgrade). The message you saw from "quick-tutor" claiming they would take £50 per month is a fraudulent popup scam – likely generated by a malicious advertisement that hijacked the page.
You did not visit their site. You did not give them any payment details. They cannot take £50 from you because they have no access to your financial information. These scams rely on fear to trick you into calling a number or clicking a link. You are safe as long as you closed the page.
That said, you should never have seen that scam on our site. This is completely unacceptable, and we understand why you feel the site is untrustworthy. We are actively working with our ad partners to block these malicious redirects, but the only guaranteed way to avoid them entirely is to remove ads altogether.
That is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. It contains:
Zero ads – no popups, no redirects, no scam risks
A completely safe environment to send and open ecards
No unexpected messages or third-party interruptions
The free website will continue to have ads (which we are trying to clean up), but for users who want peace of mind and a smooth experience, the mobile app Pro version is the solution.
Again, to be absolutely clear: You have not been charged £50 by us or anyone else from that popup. Please run a security scan on your device if you are concerned, but simply closing the page was the right move.
We are deeply sorry that your experience led to fear and frustration. If you ever decide to give us another chance, please try the mobile app. And thank you for warning others – your feedback helps us improve.
Sincerely,
123greetings Customer Support Team

Yikes
I received a greeting card today, supposedly from 123greetings. When I clicked on view the card, a porn site popped up.
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Suzanne,
I am truly horrified and deeply sorry that this happened to you. What you described – clicking what should have been a greeting card and instead seeing a porn site – is absolutely unacceptable, disturbing, and not what 123greetings stands for.
Please allow me to be very direct:
This should never, ever happen. We do not create, host, or knowingly link to adult content. The most likely explanation is one of two things:
A malicious ad redirect – A bad advertisement slipped through our ad network and hijacked your browser to another site. This is a known issue with some third-party ad providers, and we are aggressively working to block these bad actors.
A spoofed email – The email may have looked like it came from 123greetings, but scammers sometimes fake our brand name to send dangerous links. If you still have the email, please check the sender's full email address – scammers often use addresses like [email protected] or similar misspellings.
What we can do for you right now:
Please forward the suspicious email to [email protected] so our team can investigate and try to trace the source.
If you clicked from our legitimate site, please let us know the date and time so we can track which ad network was responsible.
How to protect yourself going forward:
The only guaranteed way to avoid malicious ad redirects on any free ecard site is to remove ads entirely. That's why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year – zero ads, zero popups, zero risk of being redirected to inappropriate content.
Again, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry that you were exposed to that. It is not okay, and we will do everything we can to identify and block the source. Thank you for telling us – and please don't hesitate to reach out if we can help further.
Respectfully,

stop verification at the end does not…
stop verification at the end does not work no matter how many times you do it does not approve. this is a mess & negative to anyone.
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Beverly,
Thank you for your honest feedback – and I am truly sorry for the frustration you’ve experienced with the verification step at the end of the process. You are absolutely right: if the verification doesn’t work no matter how many times you try, that makes the entire site feel like a mess, and we completely understand why you would feel negatively about it.
We hear you, and we apologize.
Let me explain what might be happening and how to fix it:
Browser or cache issues – Sometimes older browser data or extensions (like ad blockers) can interfere with the verification popup. Please try clearing your browser cache, disabling any ad blockers temporarily for our site, or using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
Mobile vs. desktop – If you are on a mobile browser, verification can sometimes be glitchy. That is one of the reasons we built a dedicated mobile app (iOS and Android), which has a much smoother, reliable verification process with no popup issues.
If you just want to get your card sent right now:
Please try the 123greetings mobile app – the free version includes the same verification but works much more reliably than the mobile website. If you upgrade to the Pro version ($5.99/year) , you get an even faster, ad-free experience, but the free app should solve the verification problem on its own.
To help us fix this for everyone:
Could you let us know which device and browser you were using? You can reply or email [email protected]. Our team will investigate and correct the verification flow.
Again, I am so sorry this has been a negative experience for you, Beverly. We are working to make things better. Thank you for giving us the chance to improve.
Sincerely,
123greetings Customer Support Team

I'm glad I'm not alone
I'm glad I'm not alone. I thought it was just me, but after reading a lot of recent reviews, I see this once helpful website has become a time wasting piece of AI garbage. I'll go elsewhere, or just cards the "old fashioned" way. I'm sure I'll have better results. Oh, and I see I have to use more "Trustpilot" to get this review to 123greetings. Forget it. They'll notice all the customers they're losing.
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Rachel,
Thank you for your honest feedback – and I’m sorry you’ve had a disappointing experience. You're not alone, and we hear you.
We appreciate that you once found our site helpful. It sounds like your recent experience hasn't lived up to that, and we take that seriously. You're right that we've been reading all the recent reviews, and we are actively making improvements.
One of those improvements is our ad-free Pro mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. It offers:
A clean, fast, and simple card-sending experience
No popups or interruptions
Carefully curated cards – no unnecessary clutter
We built the app for users who want to send cards quickly without the distractions that can come with a free website.
If you ever decide to give us another chance, we hope you'll try the mobile app. Either way, we respect your choice, and we thank you for the years you did spend with us.
We see the customers we're losing, and we're working to earn them back.
Sincerely,
123greetings Customer Support Team

SHOULD BE LESS THAN 0 STARS!
If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Today was the 1st birthday my dad had without his wife (of 45 years) who passed away 4 months ago. The first thing he does every morning is check his email. I wanted to try to start his day with a smile because I knew he was going to be extra sad, and feeling the absence of his wife even more. So, I sent him an eCard using 123Greetings.com. He is very computer literate, extremely smart, and even though he turned 81 today, he is still sharp as a tack! So I'm confident this WAS NOT a user error situation! As soon as he clicked on the "download and view card" the link downloaded a ton of software, and made several changes to his desktop. Plus he never was able to "just" view the card. He was so upset, angry, and frustrated that he dropped his glasses, which broke them. What should have helped make his day a little brighter, ruined most of it. I WILL NEVER use 123Greetings.com again!
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Cynthia,
I am so, so sorry. Reading your review broke my heart.
First and foremost: please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your mother, your father’s wife of 45 years. That first birthday without her is incredibly painful, and your intention – to bring a smile to your dad’s face on such a hard morning – was beautiful and loving. You did a kind and thoughtful thing.
What happened instead was absolutely unacceptable. Your father, who you describe as sharp and computer literate, did nothing wrong. He should have been able to click a simple link and see a birthday card. Instead, he was hit with software downloads, desktop changes, a broken pair of glasses, and a ruined day. That is not your fault, and it is not his fault. That is our failure.
Please know that 123greetings does not intentionally or knowingly attach software downloads to our ecards. What you’re describing sounds like a malicious ad redirect – a bad advertisement that hijacked the page and tried to install unwanted software. This is a known danger with free, ad-supported websites, and we are deeply sorry that it happened to your father.
We cannot undo the damage to his birthday, but we want to be honest with you:
The only way to guarantee this never happens again is to eliminate ads entirely. That is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. The app has:
No ads, no popups, no malicious redirects, no unwanted software downloads
A completely safe, clean environment to send and open cards
A simple, reliable viewing experience
We understand if you never want to use us again. That is completely fair. But if you or your father ever choose to give us another chance, please do so only through the mobile app with the Pro upgrade. It is the safe version of what we should have always been.
Again, Cynthia – from the bottom of our hearts, we are sorry. Please tell your father that we wish him a belated happy birthday, and that we are sorry his day was hurt by us. We will do better.
With deepest respect and apologies,
123greetings Customer Support Team
