123Greetings keeps changing the service in ways that make the service worse. If the recipient doesn’t open the card within that day, I keep get annoying alerts to reassure me that I shouldn’t worry. (Duh! I wasn’t worried!) Plus, I used to be able to click a link to see which card they’re referring to. No longer. I’m looking for alternatives to this service.

Clarification to ecards sent.
Hi. I send ecards and I don’t know if they have been delivered. Previously I would receive a notification when the card was opened. Now I don’t know. How do I find out if the card has been delivered. The old program was so much better. I love being able to send ecards to people.

I tried to send a greeting card but it…
I tried to send a greeting card but it got sent back saying that inbox was full. I sent the same person a coraspondence email and they received that. So I am confused why they did not get my greeting card sent!
Response from 123Greetings.ComJul 22, 2026
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your feedback – and I'm sorry for the confusion.
There are a couple of reasons why your greeting card may have been returned while your regular email went through:
The recipient's inbox may have been full at the time of delivery – our system attempts delivery, but if the inbox is full, it bounces back. A separate email may have arrived later after space was freed up.
Different sending servers – our ecards are sent from automated notification servers, which can sometimes be treated differently by email providers than a standard email from your personal address.
Best regards,

Dear Sally,
Thank you for your feedback.
We want to let you know that the text messaging option is available again in the latest version of our mobile app. The Text icon is now located between the Favourite and Share icons on the card selection screen.
Please update your 123Greetings app to the latest version from the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play Store (for Android). Once updated, you will be able to send eCards via text message as before.
We appreciate your patience and hope you continue to enjoy our service.
Best regards,

Accept Promotional Emails or Else
I've used them for years, but the email marketing was getting excessive. I was getting upwards of 10 emails a day at times, so I opted out. Now, I get messages telling me that my account is DND and I am no longer allowed to use their service.
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Ann,
Thank you for being a loyal user for many years – and I am truly sorry for the unacceptable experience you’ve had with our email marketing and account status.
You are absolutely right to be upset. Receiving upwards of 10 emails a day is excessive, and no one should have to tolerate that. Even worse, when you opted out, you were told your account is now "DND" (Do Not Disturb) and that you can no longer use our service. That is not our policy, and that should never have happened.
I want to be clear: Opting out of promotional emails does not and should not block you from using 123greetings to send cards. What you described sounds like a serious system error on our end, and we apologize for it.
What we have done since your review:
We have launched new email templates with clear, working unsubscribe links.
We have reduced email frequency dramatically – no more than a few per week for active users.
We have fixed the "DND" account block issue so that opting out of marketing does not affect your ability to send or receive cards.
How we can help you now:
Please email us directly at [email protected] with your email address and the subject "DND account – Ann from Trustpilot". We will manually restore your account so you can use our service again, and we will ensure you receive only essential transactional emails (card deliveries, etc.), not promotional ones.
If you prefer an even cleaner experience, we also invite you to try our ad-free Pro mobile app (iOS/Android, $5.99/year) – no promotional emails at all, just the cards you choose to send.
We are so sorry we drove you away, Ann. Please give us the chance to make this right.
Sincerely,
123greetings Customer Support Team

So Disappointed!!
I've been using this site for years, specifically because it was always free to send ecards, and I've never been in a position to pay for online getting cards. I am disabled, and pretty much homebound, so this was the perfect way for me to reach out to my loved ones on special occasions. 123 Greetings was the only free getting card site I could depend on. NOW, you've seen to have joined all the rest of the greety, commercial conglomerate card companies. I'm very saddened and disappointed to say I will no longer be able to continue using your service. What a shame. And all for the sake of the almighty dollar! (Especially during this pandemic, really?)
Response from 123Greetings.ComMay 9, 2026
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for being a loyal user for so many years – and please know that your message truly touched us.
First and foremost: The free service you’ve always relied on is still completely free. Nothing has changed. You can still send beautiful, heartfelt ecards to your loved ones without paying a single cent. We have not joined the paid card companies. We remain a free service at our core.
We are so sorry that something made you believe otherwise. Perhaps you saw information about our optional ad-free Pro mobile app ($5.99/year) and thought that meant the free service was going away. That is not the case. The Pro app is simply an extra choice for users who want no ads – but the free website and free app remain, and they always will.
You are exactly the kind of user we want to support – someone who is homebound, disabled, and uses our cards to reach out to loved ones. That is why we started this service over 20 years ago. We would never take that away from you or anyone like you.
Please continue using us – for free, as always. If you run into any issues or see anything asking for payment, please email us immediately at [email protected] and we will help. We never want you to feel left behind.
Thank you for speaking up, Lisa. We hear you, and we are committed to staying free for people who need us most.
With deepest respect and gratitude,
123greetings Customer Support Team
