Their customer support is non existent. I used thier chat festure and wrote a message. They emailed me back a template email saying that I need to open a support ticket, rather than answer my question or forward it internally. This is useless

Hi Will, we have a reason for doing this. Our chat feature is open to anyone, so depending on the type of support request we often direct users to create a support ticket in their account. Internal support tickets are secure because a client must log in to submit one. Opening a support ticket in your account is the fastest way to receive support for account and domain setting inquiries. We do agree with you that there is room for improvement in how we communicate this in our current system and appreciate the feedback. We hope your question has since been answered by our team, if not please feel free to reach out. Hopefully, you give us another chance to please you with our superior service!

Solved my problem.

100% not reliable. I really wish I researched them before ordering through them. I bought a foreign domain name from them. A few days later, I checked on the WHOIS of my domain name and checked on other registrars and realized that they never bought my domain name even though they charged me and on their website it shows that they bought my domain name. I go to another registrar and I was able to successfully buy my domain name despite having already “bought” it from 101domain. So they just tried to scam me by taking my money and not providing the service. After I successfully secured my domain name, I told them this and they did give me a refund pretty quickly. So are they a scam? YES they are. If you run into false advertising, false promises, scams, or other shady practices with this company, please report it to the following two places: If you bought a domain from them and never delivered report it to the ICANN Registrar Complaint Form They are a US company so also report it with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission)

101domain is a SCAM. Stay Away! Sold me a domain which was registered from someone else. Never refunded me back.
