DON’T BUY IT! THEY ARE A LOUSY COMPANY WITH AN “IFFY” PRODUCT AND A CRAPPY ATTITUDE!
First, their instructions can be confusing. My new laptop had a large solid state drive and a HDD, and their transfer choices didn’t explain what to do to put both programs AND data on the SSD. So I got halfway through (about 8 hours) and had to start over. The migration looked good, at first. I did not migrate WordPress and MAMP... I had just started taking a WordPress class and installed them fresh, but MAMP worked extremely erratically. The server simulator would not reconnect a server, then suddenly it did. I must’ve tried this 200 times, restarted MAMP, rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled MAMP several times, everything I could think of, and got it to connect maybe 4-5 times, with no pattern, rhyme or reason. MAMP forum boards had three or four suggested solutions, none of which worked. And I could not get any other WordPress download to install on my new computer. Since I was just learning to use WordPress, imagine the frustration! In the meantime, I also noticed that a few of my programs weren’t working, or weren’t working correctly, or wanted me to pay for them again, but I wanted to get my WordPress working most importantly. After a week of this, I took it to my computer guy to try to get the server simulators working; I had no idea that Zinstall was causing the problem. He said Zinstall screwed up my 64 bit system, and ended up having to reinstall Windows. He wrote an email explaining what he had to do which I forwarded to them...it had something to do with how Zinstall reacts with 32 bit (on my old computer) versus my new computer’s 64 bit system. I asked for a refund, they refused...they blamed it on my not asking them for support. But they said I was welcome to use it to migrate another computer, for up to a year. Yeah, right...like I buy new computers every day! And as if I’m going to use their screwed up program to trash another computer! So I opened a PayPal dispute, PayPal denied the refund because “item is materially similar to the seller's description.” Well, yeah, the seller described it as software, and it was definitely software. Except... it DIDN’T WORK as described. It transferred SOME programs (some of which asked me to purchase them again) and… It also trashed my new computer’s OS, and made large portions of my programs impossible to use. Fortunately, I live in the same state as their offices, so I will just take them to small claims court. But...what a HUGE hassle and waste of time! They didn’t just screw up my computer, they screwed my time up real good for a couple of weeks... how many hours a day, how many weeks of troubleshooting… and time is money…not to mention the money I spent for computer repair and software. And they know it, and refuse to fix the situation with a simple, relatively painless refund. What a crummy company with a crappy attitude…the bottom line is, they know I can’t use their program, and I’ve received no value for my $169, but still they want to make me fight to get it back. Well they’re going to have to fight for it too. Put yourself in my position...imagine arguing with them for a month over $169 and having them tell you you’re full of baloney. Imagine having to spend the same amount to get your computer fixed as you paid them to break it. At this point, for me, it is as much the principle as it is the money. Look at their stats right here on trust pilot…13% of people have had poor experience with it and/or that they were refused refunds. Another 5% say they’ve had problems with it, or that it was less than “excellent.” That means THERE IS CLOSE TO A 1 IN 5 CHANCE THAT YOU WON’T BE HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY OR ITS SOFTWARE! PLEASE DON’T PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY! IN MY OPINION, THEY ARE A LOUSY COMPANY WITH AN “IFFY” PRODUCT AND A CRAPPY ATTITUDE!
