Was excited when I saw this and watched the demo, said the new computer would be exactly like the old one copy passwords, programs and so on, and would look the same. Well fail, did copy files and put on desktop, did not transfer passwords, programs (well you needed to enter the product code for the programs again). Also after paying you were encouraged to pay more for added services. Would not use again, not to mention how long it took to perform the transfer. The little video is totally misleading on the ease ir use and what actually gets transfered. Lastly when tried to do a chat for help, there was no response after about 10 minutes, so closed it.

This company will NOT respond to a refund request for an unused purchase!!! The pre-purchase instructions didn't specify that I would have to uninstall my security software (Norton) from both computers, and leave them unprotected while Zinstall worked. As soon as I saw that -- and before downloading the program -- I decided not to use it and filed a support request for a refund. That was Oct. 28. I received acknowledgement and a case number, and then ... crickets. I re-sent the request Dec. 1, and nothing. It's Dec. 5 and no one responds on their customer chat line. This is not an honest company -- do not trust them with your money! As of Dec. 23: Early this week Zinstall customer service finally contacted me. Wanted me to install an executable file on my new computer to prove I hadn't used their software. I refused, saying their software required an authorization code, and they could see I had never accessed the authorization code sent to me. The next day they approved the refund. So the company responded in the end, but why did it take two months and this review?

Customer service never responded to me despite multiple attempts to contact them. I ended up purchasing another product and my purchase of zinstall was a waste of money in the end.

Really disappointed after rave reviews here and elsewhere. I learned the hard way that if you use 2 factor authentication that details/programmes/access does not copy across. Major disaster was MS Outlook. It has so far taken 17 hours effort to have this not quite resolved. Microsoft and Apple (my email is icloud) both very helpful and say they have seen this before. Adobe Lightroom, usually a hassle was fine as were miscellaneous others. I am not a happy bunny. Update 20DEC2022: I have sent several emails to the company asking for help to resolve this and had to involve the US Better Business Bureau. Zinstall ignore them too. I should just write this off as a massive loss - not of money rather time, energy and functionality -but wish I didn't have to. I just want the issues resolved. Don't look here. Downgrading from 2* to 1*

Very frustrating. I'm trying to move everything from an HP Spectre laptop to a new Dell Inspiron desktop. Downloaded everything but when I tried to start migration got prompted with message to hook up computers with ethernet. My laptop does not have an ethernet port. I called, but went to voicemail. Sent a detailed email to their support address as suggested, and got a form back making me repeat everything. Horrible service.

Wanted to transfer specific programs from a dead laptop without old bloatware, but it can't do that.

Bought the whole $199 package couple of months ago. At first it seemed ok - I was backing up several different drives to a new external drive and all seemed well. Eventually I started receiving these popups from the app saying no backup in last 2 days or something to that effect - the # of days changed up and down over time. I contacted their support who told me to download and run their diagnostic tool and that it took a long time to run. It did that. After a full day, I cancelled it and rebooted then ran it again. Still wouldn't finish. I bought this to ease the burden of backing up not to increase my load and frustration. I finally just figuratively wrote the $199 off as a bad deal and uninstalled the software. Wish I had never started with them. I might have been able to fix it if I'd stuck with it but it just wasn't worth the hassle...
