Not quite perfect, still great. Great Product (Computer Rescue Kit!). I was upgrading my SSD and somehow messed up the cloning process. I may have damaged the drive. I couldn't fix it, so I bought a BCD fix-style program but no luck. I took it the local big box "Squad". They charged $150 and said my hard drive was failing. They did install Win10 in the new drive but wanted me to reinstall all my software. Rather than pay for new licenses and time and hassle, I bought the Computer Rescue Kit. I got it started, ate dinner, and it was done. Not quite 100% transfer but close enough. Thanks! When I consider the time and money I would have spent to purchase new licenses, install and configure, this was much cheaper and a whole lot easier.

i purchased 3 products from this company so far and all have worked as advertised, but the best part of this company's story is the support team. they are diligent in helping new users even when that help is repeated and takes a long time. I recommend the company, their products and their employees

(Could you migrate that over to companies like Microsoft, Direct TV, and other non- IT type organizations?) How simple, yet how effective. It was a pleasure using your program. Both times, it did what you said it would, and without any problems – and it was exactly in accordance with the User Guide. The best thing I ever did was to download, print and read (several times) the entire Guide! I wish other companies would copy your approach. Thanks again, and I hope to deal with your company again. It worked well and was able to copy my old Office documents and email folders and files. Microsoft should take a note of this program and make it available for free. It was much easier to do transfers on old Windows systems, and Windows 10 is not easy at all for my taste. At least with Zinsstall I was able to get my Office and documents over, which definitely brightened my day. Thank you.

I purchased the Zinstall Kit for a new computer transfer. The process was completed and I have been working with my new computer and my first new Windows version in seven years or more. I am amazed at how many of the programs transferred over and work! (Seven years ago, with a new machine when I migrated from Windows XP to Windows 7, I used a Win 7 migration program which was good but didn't really transfer programs and it took dozens of hours to get all my programs installed and working on the new computer with Win 7.) My main problems now, which may continue for a little while, ALL revolve around the new operating system (Win 10), but they I hope can all be overcome. EVERYTHIHG that Zinstall promised basically came true, despite bumps and unexpected obstacles which the Zinstall program and staff handled flawlessly and efficiently. Again, I am very happy, and thank you all very much.

When you find software that solves your problem there's an immediate reaction of disbelief..what kind of scam is this? But I was able to up my 32 bit Windows 10 to 64 bit with only a few head scratchings in the process. It worked very well! Don't know what kind of magic they used but the mission was accomplished. The upgrade a rewrite of all the programs took about 14 hours, so do it overnight. The manual is quite good. You have to only know a little bit more than zero about computers to use the software, and the support email responds in a reasonable amount of time.

My scenario: I'm an educator who needed to transfer all files and programs from an older Windows 10 PC to another "not as old" Windows 10 PC without losing files on either machine (both with different hardware). The results: I opted to use a cross over cable for direct connection between the two machines (not a requirement). After the three hour process completed (basically me starting it and then walking away to let Zinstall do its thing) the transfer was completed without issue! To be direct, I was anticipating some issues and was pleasantly surprised that, for the most part, things went incredibly smooth. The only thing I ran into with a couple of programs was that I had to reactivate licenses on the target machine (found it odd that some programs required me to do so while others did not and I'm guessing the transfer software had no part in this). Regardless, this was easily done and now I basically have two identical machines (the target unit really just serving as a back up until the source PC fails...and that may not be long). Final thoughts: In a perfect world, I probably would have backed up my target PC, installed a clean OS, and then reinstalled all software and transferred files. Having done this too many times before, I really didn't want to have to do it this time unless absolutely necessary. Thankfully, this product worked as advertised and has earned my trust. The Five Star rating might be one star overly generous only because I did not have to rely on tech support for anything but I figure that since the software worked as well as it did and I didn't have a need to rely on support that the 5th star was deserved.

Zinstall did an outstanding job of conveying my 990GB of programs, settings, files, etc from my old Windows 7 computer to my new Windows 10 computer. I was concerned that my 250GB SSD C: drive would be too small (I also have a 4 TB D: drive for data) to handle my 990GB of stuff. However, the SSD migration automatically took care of splitting the stuff and basically putting programs on the SSD and data on the HDD. The only thing that did not work after transfer was my Windows Live Mail, however, research clearly showed the problem was the incompatibility of the Windows Live mail with Windows 10. I decided to switch to a different email browser as I am tired of MS abandoning its mail apps. Just as important was the absolutely superb respond by the Zinstall support team. All of my questions or concerns were responded to in the several emails we exchanged. Always helpful and responsive. Thanks Support Team A great product more than worth its prices!!
