Just received a zgrill. Upon installation I noticed several parts were bent, damaged. Tried to contact zgrill customer support by email and chat. No response.

I purchased a new 450B grill for my husband for his birthday. The grill came missing the 2 side plates that go in between the legs of the grill. Since this was a gift this was disappointing. I emailed customer support and called and was only given the option to leave a message. The chat shows offline but it is during business hours?? I need these 2 side plates sent out. The order number is 80551. Update- I was contacted by someone from customer service via email on 1/9. However they said the parts will ship “if” they have them. If they have them? I paid for a grill with all of the parts. I expect to get the parts that were supposed to be a part of the package to begin with asap. If these parts were not available at the time of shipment, I should have been contacted before purchase for an alternate option.

Concerned over the wide temperature swing on my grill. Even after 2 hrs. I have to babysit the control between 225 and 180 to get 225 +- 20 deg for ribs. Old kettle smoker was more controlled with lid opening !

I submitted a poor review for Z Grill model 1000D3E. Z Grill did the right thing and refunded my purchase. This is a new review due to closing the email address by accident. The title is DO NOT BUY -PIECE OF JUNK. My original review was a 1 star but, after they refunded my purchase I upgraded them to 3 stars.

I ordered a blind box in the beginning of October. Shipping was fast and it was easy to assemble. I have used it about 5 times and it does what it is supposed to. When putting it together I noticed the wheels were cheep blow molded plastic and there was a ton of play in them. Which caused some unstability. I was rolling it out to used today and one of the plastic legs just fell off as there is nothing to attach them in the tube. Super annoying. In comparing to similar priced units this one just feels cheep and lacking features that come on other brands. I have enjoyed eating what has come off of it. I hope it lasts.

Purchase a “Blind Box” off their site and received the 550B which happens to be their lower end smoker. Smoker arrived with a few dents in it that I will try to fix and the top rack was chipped in a few spots where there was porcelain coating. Was offered a gift card for the inconvenience for the dents and was told they would send me out a new top rack when it is back in stock. Sucks to receive a damaged unit but it’s just cosmetic. Customer service addressed my concerns quickly. Smoker was easy to assemble. Can’t wait to try it out

Have the ZPG - 10002E model. A decent grill for the money. Purchased in March 2021. The grease catch pan warped on my very first use. It also needs to be a little longer to fit properly. Had to bend it a tad to make it work. After 5 smokes, had to replace the Thermo probe as it was showing 50* cooler than the actual temperature. We use it as a smoker rather than a grill. Difficult to get a good sear compared to a traditional grill. Would like to see a heat proof seal on the lid to keep more of the smoke traveling across the meat & out of the stack, instead of escaping everywhere. It's a very sturdy grill. Although I do worry about the handle being attached to the pellet hopper, which is where the auger begins. Concerned the auger may eventually bend with moving the grill too many times. Have smoked 3 briskets and many racks of beef and pork ribs. Having a pellet-fed smoker helps tremendously with not having to tend to keeping the heat regulated. Smoked a brisket for 15 hours. Started at 10 PM. Went to bed. Got up at 6 AM and the hopper still had plenty of pellets. The temp setting has preset temps. Would prefer to be able to select whatever temperature I want.

I read a lot of positive reviews about Z Grills so I ordered one. When I tried to put it together, some holes were misaligned and it wouldn't go together. I called their customer support on a Wednesday and was told to take some photos and send them to their customer support email. I took the photos, one of which included a tape measure so they could estimate the distances. I sent them in on Wednesday and got this message Thursday morning: "Would you please test the size of the bottom shelf as well? our engineer says there's no issue with the leg." This message made no sense to me. The problem is the location of the holes, not the size of the bottom shelf. I responded at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday with an email asking for clarification. It's now 3:00 P.M. on Friday and I haven't heard back. I called customer service at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday and talked with someone who said they would talk to their manager and get back to me. 24 hours later I have yet to hear a thing. I have tried calling several times today (Friday), but they have not answered my calls or called me back after I left messages. I now have a bunch of pieces of the grill scattered around my house which are in the way, and I can't grill anything. I have no idea how long this situation will last. It seems like this should be a simple issue to solve, but no one at Z Grills seems to care. Trustpilot is my last hope. It says Z Grills has responded to 6 out of 8 negative reviews. I will be updating this review in the future. 6/5/21 Update I went on LinkedIn and found people who worked for Z Grills. I sent a message to the Midwest regional sales manager who responded right away. Customer service called me shortly after that and said they would send me a new bottom shelf and a free bag of pellets. I don't know why they didn't do this earlier, but I'm glad the problem is being resolved. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.
