ZenLedger | Crypto Tax Software | Crypto Tax ToolReviews of zenledger.io

Be very careful when using this service. Once you give them your credit card to charge you they will auto renewal your subscription even after you have stopped using their service and/or deleted your account. Goodluck getting anyone on the phone, or through email. I have been trying to get someone to answer me for the last couple weeks without any luck.

Your connection to Kraken is disfunctional, both via API(?) connection and by download and reading of .csv file. Authentification failed in attempted connection via API or whatever it is. Then I downloaded my ledger .csv, as you specify, and your system declined to process the file, reporting several thousand entries are errors. No error was apparent on inspection, but what do I know, so I repeated the process -- meticulously -- with the same failed result and exactly the same number of asserted errors. I gave up on ZenLedger at that point and sent raw data to my accountant - from all sources. It'll cost me a bunch, but at least I'll get my taxes done on time. I won't be back next year. And by the way, you gave me a powerful incentive to write this review. At least I can confirm it's based on a genuine experience.

Service is horrible, always trying to sell you something else, and the data is not correct.

Honestly, if you have a bunch of wallets and exchanges I’m not sure the numbers are even right. It’s gives a complicated mess of a spreadsheet that makes it very hard to compute basis and gain/losss. Secondly, they have non responsive customer support. I paid for an account last year and now I can’t access my account and get no response from custom support.

I dont even know where to begin. Zen Ledger imported some of the key transactions off of the major brand apps. The others, not so much. It made for a very difficult and tedious process for me to try to match and verify transactions. I'm not sure how the process can be improved but by the end of the day, The ledger had me making way more than I actually did. So, I don't know what went wrong, but I'll probably get killed in taxes this year and I never took profits. I dont think I'll ever use the ZenLedger again.

Charged $150 for a tool that didn't even integrate into my tax software as described. Don't buy.

Poor customer service, and I suspect gouging practice with GLG. Twice now in 2022 I've experienced a no-show for scheduled 15-minute calls this year with ZL. The platform seems structured to send quick links as DIY via chat bubbles a short term fix but in reality has been detrimental to my experience, compounding research hours. I requested an alternate tax pro to Gordon Law after a disagreement and unfinished work and instead WAS SENT BACK TO GLG, by ZENLEDGER.

This year I couldent get things to sync properly and ended up doing it with excel instead
