Zenefits is a great solution for companies of any size. I enjoy the ability to use as much or as little of their service offering as aligns with our business. Support has been quite good.

An easy HR software to use and good for small businesses.

As an organization, we’ve been using Zenefits as our HRIS for over a year. It has been very helpful in streamlining our onboarding process for new hires, headcount & org chart reporting. Overall, we’ve been pleased with the software solution & the support we've received is hit or miss depending on the representative assigned to the issue. Recently, we started utilizing the platform’s payroll feature. Payroll is satisfactory, but missing a few features that would greatly assist in our monthly operations. Our top 2 are listed below. 1. Import Payrolls via csv file: There is an ability to do this currently, but you cannot utilize formulas to incorporate data from other sources. The import sheets are locked, which means we have to populate the sheet manually anyways & no time is saved over doing this in UI for payroll. 2. Control over specific deductions to include in a payroll run: Deductions are enabled as an “all or nothing” setting in payroll runs. This causes issues when we need to run an off-cycle payroll for commission/bonus & can’t just select what we want included.

We have been with Zenefits for several years now and have watched them transform from a Benefits company providing HR functions to a Payroll company with Benefits and HR functions. The journey has not always been easy, but I have to say they have always innovated and tried to make things work. My biggest complaint is the help function of payroll... sometimes talking to someone can solve the problem 10 times faster than a thousand emails. That being said, Zenefits listens and adapts to their customers and is always trying to improve their product. For that I give them great kudos and is why we have continued to renew our subscription with them.

I love to give credit where credit is due. I have suggested to my HR peers the ease of using Zenefits several times. Our company chose Zenefits to be the HR/Payroll/Benefits management system for our fast growing company because we needed to automate and help employees self administer routine HR related tasks and help us manage this without having to add new FTEs to our HR dept functions. Our CEO did an analytical review of several vendors and Zenefits was by far the most comprehensive at the right price point that met all of our criteria. Going with Zenefits met our objectives and has allowed us to grow rapidly without consuming the company with manual HR/Payroll/Benefits administration. As with ANY HR platform, there are always items you would like to improve or change and Zenefits is always doing that and looking for feedback.

Zenefits is a great company!

Zenefits is a great company that is useful for any business, whether you are small or large, and it scales to grow with you. Easy to use, easy to implement, and having everything on an app is great.

UPDATED 2/8/22: The customer service for Zenefits has gone down drastically. As a long-time customer, I still don't have a dedicated rep and have to send in emails and wait days for a response. DO NOT GET THE FSA through them, what a nightmare! Zenefits was implemented at my mid-size company 4 years ago. Since then, we've experienced rapid growth, and Zenefits has been able to accommodate all our needs. The pricing can't be beaten and their model ensures you don't overpay for a feature you're not using. Ther benefits integration is outstanding and has saved my HR team hundreds of hours. Highly recommend for all modules and services. Coming from an HR Director with over 16 years of experience in implementing HRIS type systems, you can't go wrong.
