Silvano and his wonderful team helped us reach the summit of Kilimanjaro on a 6-day climb back in September 2019. His team went above and beyond - the food was surprisingly good, they were friendly and when medical attention was required for someone with a stomach virus, they were brilliant in looking after our friend and seeking medical advice and drugs for treatment. Of the 20 of us, 15 reached the summit and the rest all made it to at least 5,000m which is an incredible achievement and would certainly not have possible without the amazing Zara team around us. I would strongly recommend Zara to anyone and I would do it with them again if I managed to convince any of my family members to go!

We had an outstanding trip with a two day Safari up front, 6 day Kili climb, and 2.5 days in Zanzibar. The guides and porters were all incredible. Great trip.

Zara tours and our team lead by main guide Babu did an excellent job leading us tonthe summit of Kilimanjaro. Everything was cerh professional but also personal. They even went the extra mile and helped mybson through some minor altitude sickness but got us to the top. Would highly recommend this company.

Zara Tours provided an incredible experience, while prioritizing animals' space and our safety. My team of three took a 2-day safari and a meandering Kilimanjaro climb (Lemosho route). We were well cared for and had a life-changing experience at a great price. I had read in a small number of reviews that they treat animals and their porters badly. I did not observe anything like this. I also asked several of our porters by themselves if they felt they were treated badly. They all assured me that Zara had the best porter jobs and that they could go work for another company, if that wasn't the case. Indeed, one of our Zara guides stopped us so that he could care for another tour company's porters who had fallen and hurt his ankle. Our guide asked some of our porters to help with his load. (My team offered as well, but our guide would not have it. At least we were able to provide an ace bandage.) I asked other tourists why there were these occasional poor reviews of Zara, and two of them said that it was because (1) Zara is headed by a woman and (2) Zara is one of the few companies that is wholly Tanzania-owned and so they otherwise have a compelling argument for people that want to help the locals. Overall, Zara is incredible. I can't wait to go back and do another trip with them. BTW - yes we all summited! And Ngorogoro is that memory that I call when I'm feeling down.

Excellent staff and infrastructure

David our driver was able to find the house we staying in while visiting friends in Moshi, despite the fact that many local drivers did not know how to find it. He was a very outgoing, positive, humorous, and well spoken young man. His English was very good. My wife and I felt safe with him on our 200 mile drive across Tanzania to visit the Amani Rainforest Preserve. He was able to answer all of our questions regarding local customs, villages etc. We enjoyed our time in Amani immensely due in no small part to his abilities as a guide. We will ask for him again when we can revisit Amani and also to go to Oldavai Gorge.

I,my wife and our friend Henry have just returned from a 11 day trip to Tanzania (Twiga Superior with Chamaeleon). That was our fourth visit to Tanzania and the third safari in Ngorongoro,Serengeti and Grumeti areas.Our trip was interesting as those ones before (5000 fotos and 2 hour video)but this time I would like to thank you for our guide Omar.He was one of the best guides we have met durin our 12 Africans journeys within last 10 years. Excellent driver,inteligent and capable at his job. And last but not least the man with a brilliant wit of humour. We would be happy to meet him once again travelling to Tanzania. This was a trip of a lifetime and I am so thankful I used ZARA Tours to make it happen. I had wanted to hike Mount Kilimanjaro for my 30th birthday (December 22) and somehow convinced three hiking friends to join me in my endeavor. Having heard nothing but good things about ZARA Tours from other friends who have used them in the past, I booked an 8-day trek to Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route, a 5-day safari, and 3-days on Zanzibar. I honestly cannot tell you which part of the trip I liked the best because each part was 1,000,000% worth it and AWESOME! There are so many reasons why I loved ZARA Tours that I could not possibly write them all here because I've since run out of room. From the very start, they were so attentive and responsive to each and every one of my e-mails. We landed in Kilimanjaro (Moshi) on my 30th birthday and were greeted in the wee hours of the morning by the incredible ZARA staff who transported us to the Springlands Hotel. We got some rest, had breakfast, took a tour of Moshi with a ZARA tour guide, and met with our Kilimanjaro guides in the afternoon. The following day we set off for our 8-day trek. I cannot speak highly enough of ZARA Tours throughout our travels everyone we interacted with were fantastic. Our guides on Kilimanjaro Mndeme and Salim were better than I have the words to describe. Patient, funny, knowledgeable, just absolutely incredible people. Our porters were out of this world and the next person who asks me what superhero I would want to be, I'm going to say the porters on Kilimanjaro. Amazing people. The trek was something I will never forget, traveling through various climates, circumnavigating the mountain over the 8-days, and finally (FINALLY) reaching the summit and seeing thee sign amidst all of the snow. Such a magical moment I really felt like I could cry. My only "critique" of the trek was the food... it was quite tasty to begin with but became quite repetitive by day four or five. I would check myself at every meal and ask myself what do you expect, you're on the side of a mountain! Moving on to the 5-day safari: we departed Springlands Hotel with our Guide Mahmood and saw so many animals I literally don't even remember them all! Highlights for me here was staying at the Serengeti Wild Camp located within Serengeti National Park. Just incredible to have an elephant walking through camp at sunset. Celebrating New Year's Eve at the Highview Hotel was magical as well. Lastly, GO TO ZANZIBAR!!!
