I'll start off by saying I am used to using other brands of BlueTooth finders. But the thing with the white, square-shaped one was that you couldn't replace the battery. So I wanted to try another BlueTooth finder where you could change batteries. So I ordered an 8-pack of XY4+'s as they seemed the most versatile. After a month, the package came and I went to work. Installed the App and pretty much immediately noticed odd things like text being cut off, an introduction that contained wrong information, etc. Getting an XY-device to pair is easy once you get the hang of it, *if* the battery isn't depleted, which was my problem. I had ordered 8 of them and 7 had near empty batteries: red outlined icons on 7 of them while only 1 had a 'full' icon. So I tried that one. Paired it, put it in my backpack and left it. And then the notifications came. "Backpack out of range". And again. And again. And again. Lovely. So I emailed Support and got in touch with XY Findit and someone answered. Nice and polite, but not offering me any solutions. I was asked to turn off WiFi as that could drain the battery and/or interfere with BT. Sure, that's true, but why don't I have this problem with other BT finders from other brands? And besides, that wasn't my problem: my problem was that 7 out of 8 batteries were dead. Still, he wanted me to perform more 'troubleshooting': "First is to uninstall and reinstall the app and then check to make sure that the app is on its latest version." - Dude: I'm on an iPhone. iPhones update Apps every single night. Give me a break. (Edit: the App is version 5.0.0.0, so no updates so far). "Next is to open the finder to where the battery is stored. Take out the battery and press the prong that holds the battery inwards to make sure that there is a slightly tighter hold on the battery." - Again dude: the Finder wouldn't even be able to communicate and tell your buggy App that its battery is nearly dead. So the most reasonable thing I could think of was him sending me 7 new batteries. Right? Wrong. He never answered again. So then I looked up the price for a CR3032H Lithium coin cell battery: US$ 0.35. So for 7 (or 8 if XY would be serious about running a bonafide company) batteries, they'll let you sort it out on your own. Note: I've bought my 8 pack of XY4+ for US$160 on December 5, 2018. The price today (Feb 2019) for that same pack is US$225 (was US$320, "you save 20%"). Bullocks. $225 coming from $159 is a steep increase if you ask me. And if they were $320, that means I got them at a 50% discount? I did not, so they're practically saying they've made them twice as expensive. EDIT: Since I’ve placed this review I have been contacted by XY Findit and it looks like they have realized my complaints weren’t being addressed correctly and seem to have taken action. I’ll wait to see if my complaints are indeed resolved and edit this review further to reflect my experiences with this company. EDIT 2: Today (Valentine's day!) I received a full pack of new Finders with upgraded firmware as well as 3 extra batteries. I've got to hand it to them: nice job. However, as the problems with the batteries are gone, the Finder still seems unresponsive most of the time and at unpredictable moments. I cannot reproduce the errors, so for the time being, I consider them as behaving erratically. They do however ring my phone when you press the button on the Finder, so there is some kind of communication. For actually finding my lost keys, I'll resort to my other white, flat, square-shaped BT Finders. So far, they seem to be the most reliable. I'm still in contact with Support, hoping to be able to rewrite this review and adding stars because these Finders seem very promising.

Patience - It may help if you understood the technology used by XY Find It. No, it doesn’t use GPS, and yes it does use Bluetooth but, not to communicate with you (unless you are quite close to a device), but to communicate with other likewise devices it may come into range of on its travels. Once the owner of one of these other devices makes an enquiry of their device via the app the information collected from other devices it may have encountered will be uploaded. Then when you enquire about a missing device the system will tell you the last location recorded for your device. It is therefore possible to track items around the world. The system is relatively new, so interactions between devices will be small, but once the network grows tracking your items around your area, town, city, country, continent & world will be a breeze. I would think that many couriers, transport and that type of company will soon be using this system. Also, in order to increase the activity of interactions taking place there are folks out there actively seeking non verified interactions.

I read the ad from a web promo link, it says its a good GPS tracker, so I follow the link place order of 2 pack of XY4+( who knows this is not a GPS tracker), when I receive them ,I found they are only a Bluetooth tracker, I email the company, they auto reply to tell me to wait -- until today - 2 months passed no one contact me, so I bet those guys are thief just wants your money.

It’s a shame you have to tap a star to write a review because this product deserves none. The previous recent reviews say it all. The app can’t find a fob even in the same room. It just doesn’t work and is worse than useless. Within 24 hours I consigned the whole lot to the bin - where one is still bleeping for no apparent reason. If this review stops one person buying this load of crap then that, at least, will have been worth the effort. 17/02/2019: Since posting this the company has contacted me to offer a full refund on withdrawal of my review.

XY is located in Downtown San Diego, CA. I live in Downtown San Diego. I ride past XY's office everyday doing food deliveries on my bicycle. XY is a totally legit San Diego company and should be 5 stars on Trustpilot. People that rated XY low on Trustpilot, don't even know what there even talking about. I purchased 8 XY finders. XY's product is way better quality and there Bluetooth technology is way better than any other Bluetooth finders on the market right now. The range is way better, there way louder, they simply just better than Tile, TrackR, Voila, Honey. It's a night and day difference to me. XY makes the best bluetooth finders that your money can buy right now. XY finders might be more expensive than other Bluetooth finders, but you get what you pay for! XY also just launched recently The XYO Network making these bluetooth finders a total game changer because you can geo mine and earn XYO tokens with there XYO Network App. The XY bluetooth finders are ALL linked and talk to each other world wide on the XYO Network. What other bluetooth finder does all that. Exactly! XY is #1. Google The XYO Network for yourself now which is XY The Persistent Company.

If you're looking for the best value for your money, XY is the answer. I tried Tiles but find the XY 4 to be more functional.
