Seven hours and new cell phone is still not activated, but somehow they managed to deactivate my old cell in less than an hour.
Own an approximately 4 year old cell phone bought through xfinity. Decided to replace it with new cell phone. New phone arrived via FedEx. I unboxed the phone, followed the steps to set it up and activate it. Activation, according to Xfinity's website, should only take 10 minutes. Xfinity lost no time deactivating my old cell phone, but my new cell has still not been activated going on at over 7 hours as of this writing. Xfinity has left me with no way of calling them, and having chatted with them for the longest time to no avail, my last desperate attempt at getting this phone activated means a visit to a Xfinity store tomorrow.

Xfinity Mobile has been a big…
Xfinity Mobile has been a big disappointment. I've had problems with missed calls (the phone never rang; I didn't know I had a call until I saw the voicemail), dropped calls, bad data speeds, texting issues, etc. Pretty much every part of the service has been bad for me. I'm in the process of leaving them to return to AT&T Wireless. I left them due to cheaper rates, but now I see dependable service is worth it.

If I could give no starts I would
If I could give no stars I would. This phone company is horrible & I switched over from T-Mobile. That should say it all.

Mobile customer service SUCKS
The ONLY good thing about their mobile service is they use Verizon lines. There is NO customer service, except a call center in the Phillipines. There are no brick and mortar stores where I live. Customer service SUCKS! We are leaving. We were Xfinity cable customers who decided to try cell service. Advice: Don't ever get cell service through a cable provider.

Xfinity Mobile is stealing your money!
This Xfinity Store and Xfinity Mobile service in general is terrible. I believe they are actively trying to steal money from their customers. I notice that in the Xfinity Mobile app if you live in California you have access to a special number to call to report fraud. This shows that action has been taken against them in some local governments to protect consumers. In December 2022 my husband and I went to the Courthouse Xfinity Store in Arlington, VA. We had 2 items of business to take care of there and the agents at the store messed up both of them.
The first item was that I added my husband's phone as a second line because of the newest plan for 2 lines and 5g for $60 per month. They said they added us to the new plan and that everything was set up.
The second item of business was that during January and February we would be traveling to South America and Mexico. We asked them if we could set up a plan to use our phones (calls, texts, data) in those countries. The agent gave us a long explanation about Global Pass and the Mexico Canada Pass. In the end we decided that for the South America trip we would just remove the SIM cards from our phones and use wifi when possible. The agent told us that when we were in Mexico we could use our phones as normal because we have the Canada and Mexico Pass. When we got back to the states we found out that he was wrong and they charged us $117.33 for calls, texts and data used while we were there because the Canada and Mexico Pass only lets you make calls to Canada and Mexico FROM the US.
While I was on the Xfinity Mobile app trying to figure out the charges and who to call to fix them, I noticed that we were charged $90 for 2 lines in January and February. So while I was talking to the Xfinity reps on the phone about getting a refund for the Mexico charges (which they only partially refunded by the way) I asked about fixing the plan I was on. They changed the plan so going forward I am on the 2 lines for $60 per month. But they refused to give me a $60 refund for the two months we overpaid ($30 each month). They said if I had caught the problem in January I could've got the money back. When I asked what difference does that make, they said that the bills are too old now and they can't be altered?!? It didn't make any sense to me. They said that because the charges are marked legitimate in tier computers they can't refund the money. I suggested that if the January bill is too old, could they at least refund me for the Feb 5 bill since it's still February and they said no because that bill is also too old. None of it made sense.
I realize that there is a slight possibility that I signed my husband up for a second line knowing that the cost would $90 per month, and now I'm trying to pretend that I meant to sign up for the $60 per month all along. But that isn't correct.
The manager, Nora, who I spoke with told me that the only way to solve the problem is to go back to the store and talk to the agents there because they will have notes on our original visit and if those notes say that we asked for $60 plan, they will be able to help us. Sounds simple except that we live 3 hours from that store. She said there was nothing she could do to help. I asked if she could call the store and we could all chat together to solve the problem right there and then. And she said they can't call the store- they have no direct dealings with the store. Seriously? You're a phone company. You can call anyone you want to call! I asked Nora if there was any other way to make it right. Perhaps compensate for the lost $60 through a credit or something and she said no.
At this time we are not able to make the trip to Arlington to solve the mistake they made and after some research I see that we also cannot call the store directly to try to solve it over the phone. That stinks!
My mistake was trusting that Xfinity knows what they are doing. Both with the travel advice and the 2-line plan. My husband and I left the country and didn't watch Xfinity like a hawk to make sure all the T's were crossed and i's dotted. And now not only do we have to spend hours on the phone fixing their mistake but we have to travel 3 hours on the road at a time that is very difficult for us.
I really felt like what I was being told on the phone was - if you'd caught our mistake earlier you could've had your money back, but because you didn't, we get to keep your money and you're out of luck.
This is why although I've been an Xfinity customer for a few years now, I am considering switching. In December, I brought them more revenue by convincing my husband to take advantage of the 2-lines for $60 deal and this is how I'm treated for it.

they do not know what ther are doingQ!
oh my goodness! what a mess. Tried to set up service and then cancelled before my phone was activated.
I kept receiving texts that I had an account that had a past due bill! Once I finally was able to speak to someone, they assured me there was no bill and to disregard. Today I have an email with a past due bill, a month later and have concerns this well be reported to my credit which is excellent!
Beware of this company!!!!! If i could give it a aero star rating I would!

XFINITY SERVICE SUCKS
I want to know where everyone is getting cheap service because our bills are outrageous. Service always drops, I get voicemails without the phone even ringing, text messages are delayed and over all the service SUCKS! Have been an Xfinity customer for many years and I’m looking to switch service all together. Overpriced and not worth it
