I have been a timeshare owner with Wyndham for a while now, and I am getting tired of the constant lies, bullying, and belittling. I have attended many owners’ meetings where they constantly pressure you to purchase more and increase your rates like crazy. They have had no sympathy with me at all and it is getting to me. At one point, they had called me stupid if I didn’t upgrade. That is no way to be talking to a paying customer. Once, I was called 52 times because I had agreed to come to an owner update, right after my husband passed. Something came up with my family and I was unable to attend. 52 phone calls during a vacation at a time when I was grieving is disgusting! They have no respect for their customers boundaries. I am telling the public these things because I don’t want people to go through the same thing I am.

Wyndham problems
We have been loyal customers to Wyndham for many years now. They have not reciprocated that loyalty, however. Our relationship with Wyndham started on lies and deceitful sales tactics. I have been trying to get out of my contract since 2021 and they are not leaving me with many choices. They have been charging me for outside financing for down payments. I have written them, and they chose to ignore me. I can see how much they really value their clientele. Wyndham is ignoring my letter because they do not want to face the hard truth of the horrible things they have done. We want a response, a real and meaningful one. Wyndham, if you need a copy of my letter, I will be more than happy to resend it to you because I will not rest until this is solved and your executives become aware of how deceptive their salespeople are.

Do not I repeat not use New Orleans Wyndem
Please please if your in New Orleans do not I repeat do not use Wyndem. Do not use the people who promise you points to help with a stay who then ignore you after and don’t do it but waste 2 hours of your time when on holiday. Alyssa is one of the workers who I strongly suggest you avoid it’s all a waste of time and they failed also to book us onto our excursion but took our money it was so bad. Nobody even cared to help us as they had taken the money and made us do a 2 hour shares meeting after for promised gifts that did not happen. Please do not stop and listen to these people if you are in New Orleans you will only fall in their trap and loose valuable holiday time.

I regret putting my trust in Wyndham…
I regret putting my trust in Wyndham and their salespeople. I am a retired schoolteacher and the idea of a timeshare with cheap bookings and trips sounded great. All the benefits they promised were lies. Unfortunately, I was manipulated and tricked into buying a timeshare that was nothing like they described. One issue I constantly have is no availability. They told me to upgrade to a VIP, then I would have no issue booking whatsoever, $14,000 later, still no availability. Any bankers out there looking for a laugh? They saddled me with a bloated interest rate on my loan but said not to worry because I could always take it to my bank and refi. They also told me I could rent out my unit, so it pays for itself, but didn't bother telling me they keep 40-60% of the rental income, boy are they greedy! I have been told lie after lie and I am done.

Nice hotel, crappy sales ploy
The hotel, staff and rooms were great. The downfall is the marketing. There is another section of employees that are on the marketing side, they will offer you free gifts (patrons do not get offered the same things) to get you to attend a “tour”. It’s not a tour, they try to sell you a timeshare. They will bug you and bug you until you do it. Then they charge you $40 to “pull your prizes from storage”, if you do not attend they keep your money. If you do attend they refund at the end of the sales pitch. They even go as far as to call you multiple times to remind you to go. They offer you breakfast, coffee l, etc…….then they put you on a shuttle and send you off site. They promise you a time frame and do not deliver, no one that took the shuttle with us made it to the return shuttle on time, my wife and I walked back and the others waited for god knows how long to get back to the hotel. There was no coffee, the breakfast was horrible and cold. They split up the couples to separate “sales people”, Pablo was ours. He lies, scams and tries any and everything to make his sale, when he realizes you aren’t going yo buy, he becomes rude and condescending. He refused to show us prices any time we asked and tried redirecting us by showing pictures of his family and telling us about his life (he raped our ears, be careful of this), then when we were ready to walk out without our gifts, he got his supervisor to “make sure he did everything right”, ya, that’s a lie too. They just tried to keep the pitch going. They didn’t want us to leave. We finally got our gifts and left. After returning to the hotel we found they had the building next to us for “tours” also. Upon asking I was told that it was for “already owners”, Pablo told us that “he usually only deals with people that are already owners”. Sorry which is it? I can only derive that they take you off site and bring members from the other hotel to the one by this hotel so you feel like you are stuck until the shuttle gets you. That way you are less likely to leave. They also had them all over the river walk and in the mall trying to get you. They were like cockroaches. I think I would rather spend a year in a Mexican prison than do that again. That is almost 2 hours of my life I will never get back. My wife and I are so disgusted with the marketing crew and sales crew. That even though the hotel, crew and room were really nice and good. I do not believe we will ever stay with Wyndham again.

WARNING
Wyndham/Club Wyndham/Travel & Leisure Company
All names for the same massively fraudulent and predatory organization. These people prey on the elderly, servicemembers, immigrants, and the very young.
Worse, the sales representatives will lie shamelessly about every facet of the purchase. They will omit important contractual data. And they will stonewall any attempt to research contractual obligations or any attempt to delay purchase to consult with family.
This company has been known to fraudulently open lines of credit AND THEN BILL THEM, to people that attend Wyndham presentations. Additionally, the company has been known to perform "hard" credit checks on people that provide their personal information without their knowledge or consent.
Wyndham is currently facing multiple personal and class action lawsuits for their practices. Further, they are under investigation by the US federal government for breaking antitrust laws.
AVOID WYNDHAM AT ALL COSTS.

I was purposely misled by Wyndham and…
I was purposely misled by Wyndham and their sales representatives to convince me to purchase a worthless timeshare.
I believed Wyndham was a trustworthy and good company with good work ethics. My experience so far with them has been the opposite. There is no availability like they said there would be, they find every excuse to charge me and take my money, they signed me up for a credit card I never gave them permission to, etc. I did not realize they signed me up for a credit card until I returned home after a cruise with my daughter to find out I had been mailed the credit card I didn’t sign up for and a bill for $3,524. There has been so much that Wyndham has put me through, and I am so tired of being treated like this. Wyndham won’t answer my letter so maybe they will answer my public review…
