An expensive failure and months of customer-service runaround
deeply regret purchasing this product. I paid $1,387.79 directly to WYBOT for an S2S with the solar dock. It worked for a while, then failed within the first year. I am still stuck with a nonworking machine.
First-line support promised a quick fix and assured me that a replacement would be no problem. After transferring me to second-line support, I was made to repeat the same troubleshooting steps. The process dragged on for months, only for the promised replacement to be refused.
Instead, WYBOT offered a different M2V model or a $700 refund—with return shipping at my expense. That would leave me losing $687.79 before shipping costs for equipment that failed within a year.
I declined those options because months of frustrating service and unfulfilled assurances had destroyed my confidence in the company. Neither was an acceptable resolution for me.
The product failed, and customer support failed to deliver what it promised. This has been an infuriating waste of money and time. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering WYBOT. I would not buy from them again.
I am asking WYBOT to resolve this with a full refund and prepaid return shipping. I will update this review if they provide a satisfactory resolution.

WARNING TO PEOPLE CONSIDERING BUYING A…
WARNING TO PEOPLE CONSIDERING BUYING A WYBOT
I want to share my experience with WYBOT because my concerns now go beyond my own defective pool robot. I have personally seen several WYBOT pool robots fail within relatively short periods of time among people I know.
My warning therefore concerns two things: product reliability and the way problems are handled afterwards by WYBOT.
These are not stories I found somewhere on the internet. These are experiences from people I personally know.
My neighbour is already using his second WYBOT after experiencing problems within approximately three months of use.
An acquaintance is already on his third WYBOT within twelve months.
Friends of mine had their WYBOT fail after approximately six weeks. According to them, WYBOT then refused to credit or refund the defective unit.
In addition to these cases, there is also my own experience with a defective WYBOT and the warranty process.
I am not claiming that every WYBOT will fail, and obviously I cannot determine WYBOT's overall failure rate from these individual cases. However, when I see several failures and replacement units within a relatively small group of people I personally know, I believe potential customers should be aware of it.
My own problem was also not limited to the defective product itself.
I have spent a considerable amount of time communicating with WYBOT and trying to get the matter resolved.
After extensive communication, WYBOT eventually agreed to reimburse my shipping costs. They have now made a payment, but the amount they paid is lower than the amount that was agreed with me.
For me, this is an important point.
When a company makes a clear agreement with a customer after a lengthy warranty discussion, I expect that agreement to be honoured in full. Not partially and not for a different amount.
Any electrical or mechanical product can develop a fault. What matters just as much to me is how the manufacturer responds when that happens.
Among people I personally know, I have now seen several defective WYBOT units, replacement units that also needed to be replaced, someone reaching his third unit within twelve months, and friends experiencing a failure after only around six weeks who, according to them, were refused a credit or refund.
In addition, I have my own lengthy warranty and shipping-cost dispute, in which WYBOT ultimately paid less than the amount that had been agreed.
That is why I am sharing my experience.
If you are considering buying a WYBOT pool robot, do not only look at the specifications, marketing and positive reviews.
Before buying, also research people's experiences with reliability, warranty claims, replacement units, returns, refunds, return shipping costs and customer service.
I would also recommend keeping copies of all emails and agreements you make with WYBOT.
I can substantiate my own case and the agreements made with WYBOT with correspondence. Regarding the other cases, I am reporting what the owners themselves have told me about their experiences.
If WYBOT ultimately resolves my case completely and pays the remaining amount that was agreed, I will of course update my review accordingly.
I am sharing this so that other consumers can take these experiences into account before deciding whether to buy a WYBOT.

Wybot.... A fuir
J ai acheté l an passe un robot wybot C1.

Six Months with the Wybot 2: Good Marketing, Poor Engineering
I purchased the Wybot 2 after watching a number of positive YouTube reviews, several of which I later confirmed were sponsored unboxings, where the reviewer received the unit free of charge and had no prior pool-robotics experience to evaluate it against.
In retrospect, the footage in those videos already showed the core problem: debris was visibly being pushed aside by the front tongue rollers rather than drawn into the intake. I made the same observation during six months of daily use, and want to document the specific engineering shortcomings, along with the modifications required to bring the unit to a usable baseline, one that a €/$ 120 "dumb" bouncer-style robot achieves out of the box.
Traction and Buoyancy
The unit is under-weighted at the front (to allow for wall cleaning) and tends to lift off the pool floor during forward motion. I resolved this by permanently attaching two 10 mm rebar rods (400 gram) to the front handle as counterweight.
Front Roller / "Flapping Wheel" Design
The rotating front tongues generate turbulence at the intake that actively displaces debris rather than channeling it toward the suction inlet. I removed them entirely, converting the intake into an open mouth, allowing debris to enter the vacuum stream.
Fine Filter
The pleated fine filter (the feature that drove my purchase decision) is functionally unusable. In low-sediment conditions it's unnecessary; in any pool with meaningful fine dust, it saturates within minutes, at which point restricted flow prevents the unit from picking up even coarse debris.
Wall Cleaning
The very soft rubber tongues glide over algae or dirt without mechanical removal, making the wall cleaning feature useless. A stiff-bristle brush would be much more effective but I suspect the water jet pressing the cleaner against the wall does not provide sufficient force to rotate a genuinely effective brush.
Navigation Modes ("Expert Mode")
All six navigation patterns are inefficient in practice. The S-Pattern is the best of a weak set, but the robot spends a disproportionate amount of battery time re-orienting at each turn, and consecutive passes almost a full cleaner-width of overlap, effectively degrading into near-random coverage over a full cycle rather than a true systematic sweep. I find it difficult to understand how these algorithms were considered ready for a product marketed as a sophisticated autonomous pool cleaner.
Debris Retention on Removal
The filter basket does not seal properly against the suction intake. As a result, some debris is pushed back into the pool while heavier sand grains collect in the bottom of the housing or get flushed back into the pool when the unit is lifted out at the end of a cycle.
What Does Work
To be fair: suction power during floor cleaning is genuinely good, and the 3-hour runtime (vs. 90 minutes on my old bouncer robot) is a real spec advantage on paper. However, once you account for actual dirt-holding capacity, real-world debris collected per cycle, and effective mesh performance, the longer runtime does not translate into better cleaning outcomes than the far simpler, far cheaper robot it replaced.
Bottom Line
After extensive use and major hardware workarounds, the Wybot 2 does not outperform a basic robot costing roughly one fifth the price. The marketing driven navigation modes, the non-functional fine filter, and the flawed intake design suggest the product was engineered for demo video appearance rather than sustained real-world performance and the wave of unboxing reviews from unpaid-in-cash but paid-in-product influencers, most with no baseline to compare against, obscured that fact for buyers like me.
Update:
Today, the application prompted me to update the firmware. After the update, the Wybot became essentially useless and there is no way to revert to the previous firmware.
The robot spends now most of its time travelling in reverse, with the suction intake facing backwards making it impossible to collect any debris.
It also repeatedly drives into the pool wall and continues pushing against it until what appears to be programmed maximum travel time for a pool length has elapsed.
This new experience also raises serious questions about the firmware update process. An update should not be capable of turning an appliance into non-function without providing the customer with a way to restore to the previous firmware.

Had the wybot s2 for a year and a month. Stop working all together probably the battery. You cannot order a battery online to replace it. Called customer service said nothing we can do it is out of warranty. She advised some one would follow up with me and they never did. Basically, a $750 piece of junk after a year with no assistance provided if battery goes bad. I will not recommend their products or customer service

Be warned of what to expect
6 months ago I bought a Wybot S2 Solar Vision cleaner online from Piscina y Spa, Madrid. It was clear from the beginning that the kit was not working as advertised so I sent them an email requesting a refund. No reply. I contacted Wybot who kept me going around in circles. The only way the thing works is being constantly connected to the mains. Now the rubber insulation around the solar panel is falling away due to the sun (it's a solar panel). I asked Piscina y Spa to replace the solar panel but they want the whole unit back and have warned me that I have to pay all charges for shipping there and back from my home in Portugal plus any costs connected to their "technical inspection". That is not honouring a "warranty" in my opinion. Wybot customer service are a waist of time. I have to just accept that I was fooled into buying this product by fake online reviews. I just want to concur with other reviews here and warn prospective buyers of what to expect.
