Feels impossible to cancel
This may be the first negative review that I have ever left online. I'm making an exception to that policy because of my terrible experience with WSJ. When I signed up for a subscription to access one particular article, I never imagined it would be this difficult to cancel. WSJ doesn't allow subscribers to cancel online. The only way to cancel is to call them. That in itself is annoying but would not merit this review. Following WSJ's cancellation instructions, I called yesterday, was on hold for 30 minutes, and then connected to a person who was--for some inexplicable reason--unable to cancel my subscription. I asked for a supervisor and was subsequently disconnected. As I write this, I am on hold again waiting to speak with someone to cancel this subscription. So far, I have wasted over an hour trying to cancel. WSJ misrepresents its cancellation policy online, making it sound as if it's an easy process. It is NOT.
