Slimy business that should not be rewarded for its predatory tactics
I tried to cancel 7 months ago, and apparently it did not go through. I ended up being charged unknowingly for 7 months (totaling $ 273). They refused to offer any sort of refund or work with me at all when I eventually realized what had happened. The fact that a company like the Wall Street Journal operates in such a slimy way is incredibly disappointing. Signing up is as easy as putting your credit card info in while canceling requires you to scour their website for the right number, call it, get transferred a couple of times (because there is no option from the main menu to cancel your account), get dropped multiple times, and eventually end up talking to some dude who barely speaks English and refuses to help beyond simply canceling your account. I hope the Wall Street Journal makes the most of that $ 273 they greased from me because I will never give them another dime and will continue to encourage everyone I know to do the same.
