My experience with Workada has been extremely positive since the very beginning and I share this as someone who has tasked with various other AI platforms over the past year. Many other platforms struggle with poor communication, inconsistent work, glitchy interfaces, spotty payment cycles, lack of support or some combination of these, which really makes tasking unpleasant. You end up feeling like you're being set up for failure. But Workada is different. With Workada, my initial interview process was a smooth and relaxed one-on-one call with a real person. Being able to speak to a human was an immediate sign that this platform would be refreshing in that they truly put people first. Onboarding was comprised of structured training, with plenty of support along the way, and now that I've been working within my particular project for two months, I feel very fortunate to be here. Being able to choose your own hours, work from the comfort of your home and do so without feeling lost in the void is extremely freeing. My Pod Lead has been supportive, as have all other colleagues I've communicated with. Everyone genuinely wants to see each other succeed. While there are occasionally abrupt changes to work flow or client standards, the Workada team has always been transparent and quick to provide resources to help us roll with these shifts. So I can honestly say Workada is the best AI training platform I've been with and highly recommend it to anyone interested in AI work that is seeking a supportive, consistent environment where you feel like a valuable member of the team instead of just another number.

Ignore these other reviews. Workada is actually one of the better AI training platforms out there. They're just mad for getting removed for doing something against the guidelines. The pay they have are super consistent "unless its a holiday" and they are very professional and caring towards the people that do contract work with them. The POD leads are also amazing.

Been here since June 1, and I appreciate what Workada is building I’ve been contributing to Workada since June 1, back when we were filling out our own time cards. Watching it grow from those early days has been pretty cool. When I first googled Workada in June after I had been hired the only thing that came up was a Reddit thread “Is Workada a scam” to which has grown massive and I am on there fighting for my life trying to get the message that my employer is in fact not a scam. Today’s email scared the hell out of me, especially since I’d talked account deactivations on Slack. Once I read it, though, I appreciated that they addressed the concerns people have been raising and explained their process. Having worked with HAI and DAT the difference in my experience has been pretty obvious. Workada’s clearer communication and openness to talk about concerns make a real difference. When your income depends on a platform, knowing what’s happening is a pretty big deal. People shouldn’t have to piece everything together from rumors and lone Reddit threads filled with disgruntled ex employees. I appreciate that this update also acknowledged they haven’t always gotten things right. There’s still room to improve, but being willing to say that and explain what they’re working on means something to me. I’m proud to work with Workada. I’ve put real time, hard work, and lots of effort into my contributions, and I appreciate feeling like that work matters. Having been here since June, I’m stoked I’ve gotten to watch it grow and be a small part of it.

They try to be as transparent as possible and help their contractors as much as they are able in a climate of numerous updates and changes made by the client, not them.

Here's what I've really liked so far: the attitudes of everyone I've interacted with have been positive (even when rightfully griping) and helpful (pod leads and other knowledgeable contributors are quick to offer advice and point you toward resources). The hiring process was very transparent and things moved quickly. The pay has been dependable and thus far what has been communicated has largely been what happens. Communication is also ongoing and in several formats. Conversely, what I have found difficult is transitioning from the training & calibration to the actual tasks. The training prepared me for being IN the tasks but nothing in the resources clearly laid out the logistics. For example, I did not realize that one task = one set of images. Up to that point, the training had made it seem like a task could have multiple parts. The pace of change is fast, but if underlying systems were more clearly explained, it would have been so much easier for me. And if systems and processes are clearly documented, those can be easily updated as things change. Also, the acronyms for everything - some of them are intuitive and some are NOT. I am sure part of my perspective is colored by my experience as a project manager who specifically develops process documentation with built-in flexibility, but I also know that while I am someone who easily gets the lay of the land by observation, if even I am having trouble, there may be others who are completely lost once out of training, which wastes everyone's time and Workada's resources. I have not experienced too many unreasonable asks, though there have been a few contradictions, like "take your time" but also there are time limits that don't count down for you - the task just ends; and "go with your gut" but also base it in concrete facts and do it quickly because the clock is ticking; and perhaps most frustrating of all, we are supposed to research and confirm verifiable and critical facts shown but the timer doesn't count time spent outside of the task window as tasking time, nor does it let your mouse/computer sit idle while you research on another device. The latter seems like a potentially easy fix that would keep a lot of contributors happy.

Same as every other platform. They don't care about the workers; just to eat money off our backs.
