I am awarding this product 5 stars to highlight the product's quality and the seller's integrity, despite a challenging experience similar to many others. The bottom line is that the product arrived four months late, and the company's pre-order policy did not permit refunds. However, the product's craftsmanship is exceptional. I am very satisfied with the product and was kept informed throughout, even when updates were less than ideal. Wool & Oak's team was consistently responsive. I received messages from their Co-Founder, which supplemented the sales support. Initially, there were manufacturing delays due to Cyclone Michaung, which I was unaware of living in the US and thus skeptical. Upon verification, the storm was real, I was hopeful the delays were over only to receive another update that there were further delays from US Customs and Border Control. I had accused the company of fraud on several occasions. Yet, with many reporting similar experiences, I challenged Wool & Oak, suggesting that the shared accounts were either a reflection of their unfortunate yet remarkable situation or an elaborate scam. Following that email, I received an apologetic email from the co-founder, who reassured me of delivery and even offered an additional product to prove legitimacy. Once I received the product, I realized patience was necessary while the company dealt with issues out of their immediate control. They kept me updated, accommodated a change in shipping address, and ultimately, the product I received is the highest quality item I've ever bought online. The company maintained a level of transparency reflective of actual human beings doing their absolute best with the cards they were dealt. Ultimately I am happy to receive the product and despite the delays will be a repeating customer.

Backer #384 on Kickstarter, just received my Large Nova in Chocolate Leather & the packing cube set add on yesterday (03 June 24). It’s looks beautiful and and feels premium .. that leather smell when unwrapping it was just *chefs kiss*! I’m super excited to have finally received delivery (yes there were delays but I always found the team over at Wool & Oak to be responsive and transparent in their communications) after months of waiting but the final product was definitely worth the wait, in my opinion. Can’t wait for my next trip to use this thing :)

Great high quality travel bag. Nice pockets and storage solutions not found in other bags and also can order packing cubes that fit the dimensions perfectly. As with everything there are some cons to take into consideration. The bags are heavy, especially the all leather versions. The bags are expensive and be aware of a large customs fee for anyone ordering outside of the U.S.. all in all a great quality carryon back that should last years, and if leather, one that could last a generation or two.

My Nova Bag was delivered this week. The Zipper work and Leather have a wonderful feel. Im looking forward to traveling with this wonderful equipment.

I received my large leather NOVA bag last week. This is my third w&o Kickstarter purchase. Just as my other w&o products, the quality of the bag is outstanding. The touch, look, and smell of the leather are stunning—even better than some designer bags. The hardware is both sleek and sturdy. The shipping hiccups during this campaign were frustrating, but I expected them from all Kickstarter projects. Things won't always go perfectly; it’s how people handle it that defines the team. I believe w&o have been doing a decent job. I personally find their communications clear, transparent, and effective. Overall, it’s been a satisfactory experience for me.

Throughout the process there were a lot delays that were out of the company’s control. They were always communicative and apologetic. I never felt taken advantage of out of the loop, and they did everything possible to make it right. Then once the bag came, I was thrilled with it. Incredible quality and it was exactly as advertised. Really looking forward to my next trip!

As a backer of two projects of wool and oak I can share that they are better than most creators. I can tell as a superbacker of more than 100 Kickstarter projects, no project is without delay and unforeseen circumstance. You’ll see many reviews here saying dumb things like a scam or claim the creators were liars or lack transparency. I can tell you pretty much all of the complainers have 0 idea how Kickstarter works and probably shouldn’t be backing projects. As a recipient of both of their products and the second one did have hiccups, the items were both dutifully delivered and of excellent quality. I’ve found wool and oak nothing but professional and forthright. I would gladly back another project if they decide to do something new and innovate again.

I just received my bag and it is gorgeous! I know they had some port/shipping difficulties, not their fault. Communications regarding the issue were great. WORTH THE WAIT! They've done a fantastic job and kudo's to their team. Both of my pieces (The Nova and the Sling Bag) are worthy of fine travel, thank you.
