This season was the first time I planted potatoes. Wood Prairie's catalog is amazing and informative. The planting instructions were clear and easy to follow. My results were terrific! I'm already thinking of what verities I'll plant next spring.

Once I found this company I have never bought seed potatoes from anywhere else. I love that all their seeds and potatoes are organic. I've done very well with my potato crop and all other seeds have been great. I love the amount of information included in the catalogs and I am impressed by what I read in the Organic newsletter.

You are very kind with your words, Susan. Thank very much and we hope you continue to have good results from the seed we grow.

Love there selection of seeds, I have done good with their products. I love the vision of the family farm they bring. My only gripe is that i would like to see more info on the seed packets, I question myself a lot so it would be great if that info could be right there in front of me. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Nate. We've been working on improving our organic vegetable seed packets but there haven't been enough days in the week to get that project done! Appreciate your support.

We ordered the Prairie Blush Potato and overall enjoyed growing them. They turned out beautiful and delicious but were more susceptible to disease pressure then other varieties.
Response from Wood Prairie Family FarmSep 7, 2017
Thank you, Adam. We discovered the Prairie Blush growing as a clonal variant on our farm in 2001. Many folks have told us they think it is the best tasting variety they have ever eaten and we would have to agree.

Very disappointed in your response to my order in late July for order to my nephew for his birthday. I chose the only selection available, all others were sold out at the time. Would not ordered what I did had I known it would not be available until late this month. What even more disappointed me was the response I got...no mention of I'm sorry for the delay. Yes, there was an offer to send him a note of delay which even then I got a curt response that it had been sent. Thought it was a unique gift but considering poor reponse I got...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Juliet, I'm sorry you were disappointed and that our Potato-Sampler-of-the-Month information was not clear to you. We farm in Maine and we plant our organic potato crop in May and harvest in late September. Our September Potato-Sampler-of-the-Month is the first Sampler available in our 8-Month shipping year, September through April.
