Wood Prairie Family FarmReviews of woodprairie.com

I had to write a review for this company. Their products are fantastic. This year I bought a few seed beans, seed potatoes and seed tomatoes. Their products grow so well! I have had great success with growing all of it and this is only my 4th year of having a garden at home, so you know I am no expert. I make mistakes each year, learn from it and keep improving. I decided to also buy some tomato plants from a local home improvement store (regretfully). I have to say I am shocked at the quality difference. My tomatoes from Wood Prairie Family Farm grow endless tomatoes. They are large, lush green plants and very healthy and rarely wilt at all. With the weather I have had in PA this year, the plants from the home improvement center aren’t holding up. The plants are small and wilted and offer hardly any tomatoes! I wish I would have gotten all my tomatoes from Wood Prairie Family Farm. I will definitely be back next year for more. I am growing on a small scale for my family, but I cannot say enough about this company and the quality of their products. It’s nice when you see these kinds of results and feel like all your hard work is paying off!

The quality of the seed potatoes and fertilizer are outstanding. They have varieties that are simply not available elsewhere. I like the option of being able to purchase small quantities of multiple varieties. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and always available.

Great on the phone. The were very helpful taking my order. I have been growing potatoes 🥔 for years. I bought their seed potatoes and they were the worst producing I have ever grown. All my other vendors seed potatoes did great. Be careful they market great but the product not great.

I was sent the wrong variety of potatoes. They responded very quickly, but "passed the buck" by saying it was the storage that had turned the inside from yellow to white.

They have a great selection of seed potatoes. Shipping was prompt and sprouted quick.

send wonderful potatoes to me very good quality

Some of their products were wonderful but 2 years in a row, I ordered same product that did not produce at all! Nothing. I tried reaching out via phone call (LVM) and email to just see if this was common or if there is anything I could have done differently. But after 2 years in a row trying to reach the company I have yet to ever receive a response. So I would say very poor customer service. I will not be a returning customer at this point.

I cannot plant until May, them posted in early februrary. I kept in orginal bag in basement. I went to start getting ready for planting and they are dried out husks. The red potatoes I got elsewhere were soft and plump and are now temporarly planted with wonderful sprouts. Their "organic" potatoes are mushy, nasty things. I've emails and was told by Frank Allen not our problem. We have a small farm and booth at the Fredericksburg farmers market, we will definitely be passing out copies of his rude emails. People from all over the US comes to our little town.
