I was sent the wrong variety of potatoes. They responded very quickly, but "passed the buck" by saying it was the storage that had turned the inside from yellow to white.

Some of their products were wonderful but 2 years in a row, I ordered same product that did not produce at all! Nothing. I tried reaching out via phone call (LVM) and email to just see if this was common or if there is anything I could have done differently. But after 2 years in a row trying to reach the company I have yet to ever receive a response. So I would say very poor customer service. I will not be a returning customer at this point.

Hello Kristin. I am glad you wrote. I apologize for the trouble you had reaching us. That is certainly not my intention and we are improving on our contact system so that nothing gets missed in the future. Could you let me know your order number and what went wrong, and I will help you with a refund and information? This is the first I am hearing of your issue. Meg [email protected] (207)429-9682

Severely limited crop this year, worked with owners on getting replacement seed potatoes for next season. Harvest may have been weather related, next year should solve the issues encountered.

I was so excited to get my order. I had really been wanting to order the Rose Gold potato, but it was out of stock. Then I saw that Organic Potato Blossom sampler set had Rose Gold in it, so I ordered that. Well, when I received it there wasn't any Rose Gold in the box. I was pretty disappointed, as that was why I chose to order that sampler box. The potatoes also were not very eyed out....I'm not too upset about that, as I did order late in the season. I just expected them to be a little more eyed out than they were.

Sorry for the Rose Gold substitution. It's a great variety and sold out early. Today, at no charge to you, we're mailing you some Rose Gold from our own seed supply. Also, by design, we store our seed potatoes perfectly to maintain dormancy and highest vigor so our customers will enjoy the best yields. After receiving them, simply store our seed potatoes at 75oF for a few days and they will quickly sprout from the eyes and then be ready to plant. Happy Harvest! Caleb

The quality of the potatoes is exceptional. The quantity for the money was painful.

Thank you for the review.

Some seed potatoes grew well others not so well. Red varieties seem to do well but other varieties are hit and miss. Some seed is very small and the resulting potatoes are quite small with low yields. It is expensive to buy seed potatoes, I do not really think it was worth it in the end. I have had better luck with other organic seed potato companies.

Thanks for your Review, R.H. We purposely keep the size of our tubers on the small side because smallish tubers have more vigor and that actually translates to higher yields. Everyone's garden and microclimate are different and we encourage folks to try a range of potato varieties to see which ones do best in your area. Please feel free to call us anytime (207-429-9765) and we'll work with you to figure out what might do best. Jim

The products received (2types of seed potatoes) which came quickly and earlier than I could plant in northeast MA.I stored them; they survived. But when it came time to plant 2 of my Yukon gem had NO eyes.( I only ordered the smallest am't )I tried no less than 3 times to both call and email with my question :what do I do now?I finally gave up after no response. The phone # I tried came from your website and there was no answer nor any way to leave a message. This makes me not want to reorder next season.

Thanks for your Review, Andovergardener. We're happy to ship early or late, whenever customers tell us they would like to receive their seed potatoes. When no preference is indicated we ship to each State at the time of year most gardeners in that State want them. Yukon Gem has especially smooth skin.and yes it's very hard to see the eyes until the tubers break dormancy and begin to grow. Sorry of our failure to get back to you. I apologize. We answer the phones M-F 815-5pm ET. I expect you called during our peak shipping season and last Spring our office manager was hospitalized. As a result we had a hard time keeping up with the flow. If you have any questions i can answer at this time, please call me @(207)429-9765. Thanks! Jim
