Initially, I wondered how Wirestock was going to work for me. Well, I have been pleasantly surprised with the returns exceeding my expectations. For those shooting Stock, Wirestock is worth looking into and your experience will hopefully mirror my own. I contacted "Support" on one occasion and received a prompt reply.

It was the enter place for me into the stock photography and videography. With this page I learned what are good and bad photos, what sells, and what doesn't.

Shameful policy to earn money from new photographers, who like to sell their pictures on stocksides in an easy way. If you, as newbie, start with uploading photos en videos to this platform, you have to be aware that you will not make any faults to your uploading materials. Once submitted, you can't change anything and if your material doesn't match to al requirements it will be not accepted. So far so good, but this strategy gives you no chance to learn from your faults you make as newbie. Once not accepted, your accepting rang will go down very quick. Once under 85% you get no chance to make improvements to your work, to bring your range back to more than 85%. The only way to improve again, is getting an expensive premium membership. As newbie you will not sell a lot, so with a premium membership you have to sponsor the site without any chance to get you inlay back by selling more pictures in an acceptable time. Newbies have to pay to keep this platform in life and "big" accounts are these with the profits. Zo it's a shameful policy and I have to delete my account. With loosing my earnings until these moment. Be aware, before you start with this platform. My reaction to the answer of Wirestock: Thank you for your reaction to my review on "Trustpilot".This reaction shows how you are focused to earn money from new members of the community. It's right that you sent an e-mail in february 2023 (22-02-2023 / 13:07) and it's true that you mentioned the changes. The changes in your policy which will start on 23-02-2023. Realy you give the members less than 12 hours to try to bring their approval rate to >85%. Still the time I use Wirestock you never finished the control of my pictures in less than 12 hours. Normally I had to wait 2 weeks and send then a complaid, to remember you to approve my pictures. Is this what you mean transparent and fair? I call this a shameful way of working!I understand that every business has to decide to be successful, but in my opinion give the users a fair chance to achieve the approval rate. NOT 12 hours. New members must have the chance to grow in the business. But in this way, new members have to finance the workspace for the few people who can and will make profit with this platform. A fair way will be to give people 6 month to get an approval rate >85%. And if you want to earn more money in a fair way, bring the commision for members down from 85% to 75%. That will have the same impact on all members in the same way.

Hi Ralf, we are sorry to hear you feel this way. We have announced in February that marketplace submissions were becoming a paid service, and we understand it was a big change, but as a result we are able to give a better service and product for all our creators, free ones and Premium ones. It will be your decision if the new system works for you or not, but we are transparent about the whole process and there are no tricks or shame in our policies. If you have any questions or need assistance, you can always contact us at [email protected]

Pros: Good idea. Easy to use. Mobile app. AI generated pictures accepted. Cons: Site is buggy, upload process is stuck very often, then you waste another hour to figure out which one weren't sent. And they cannot even detect simple image duplication on upload. Another bug, the system keeps repeating 'Revision required' in a loop 10 times for the same pictures eating the submission limit, yet nothing needs revision. They claim you can download image with a metadata, yet there is no metadata at all. They add tags into the pictures, and in their own search, they don't even have filtering by tags. How people suppose to find images that they're looking for? Site is difficult to use when working with multiple pictures as there is lack of some kind of bulk operations when you want to change something. So you upload the picture, but you cannot do anything with it, tags are not clickable, and you can't even check external links where images has been published. There is also a lack of API, or hidden behind the contact form, not sure. As a paid user, there is no access to any API or API docs anywhere on the site, you've to reverse engineer it on your own. In overall, no point of paying premiums, if most of pictures are rejected for pointless reasons. Who decides on low chance of sales due to abundance or an incoherent composition, AI? I've manually checked pictures with 10x zoom if there is no any blurriness or anything, sharpen them through multiple processes to the point they look uglier than before (this was my impression what system is expecting me to do), but the site is still not happy, finding other excuses. And there is also no option to appeal or re-submit. Neither option to edit and re-upload improved images for check again. I've read a lot of users have the same problems, even worse, they couldn't find their approved pictures on 3rd party sites. In addition, it looks like they make an effort to hide this information from you where your pictures really are. You've to take their word for it, because you've zero control over this. They may approve it, then upload your picture after few months, you won't even know. At the end wasted hours to find most of my work is rejected, pointless. It's not possible to customize license, even for portfolio approved arts. Approved portfolio images aren't even shown on /explore pages. I've tried to look based on generated meta words in search, none of pictures are even close to its similarity, yet it was rejected due to abundance. I think search results are broken on the site, because typing the same description or tags, not even close pictures are shown, yet the system claims your picture is too similar to others to post to marketplaces which is a lie. Even top selling media doesn't add-up: 1st: some bear, 2nd: circuit breaker; 3rd: some ugly factory; 4th: blurry asbestos; 5th: blurry picture of Sun. Is this a joke? I'm pretty sure rejection messages are just random picked by poorly designed algo or low-grade intern person who doesn't know anything about art or what sells, and all day they randomly clicking approve or reject. Secondly, the rejection process should work on site-basis, but it's not. Either post to all or nothing. This site suppose to save your time to type keywords, wrong, you'll waste much more figuring out the mess you end up with after rejections (which one is which). This kind of policing is what kills art, because it's narrowing down submissions into specific category what is allowed to post, what is not. I've seen some profiles where they started to upload good images at the beginning, then turned into mass random upload to trial and error to deal with unpredictable processes. At the end, why bother with quality pictures, if it's not appreciated at all. All your work in hands of broken approval system. I would thought this company makes millions with new innovative ideas, but I think it's another one which will die naturally due to lack of understanding of users and their needs. They don't care about you, all they care about money. It's like they had a nice idea to create all-in-one system, but something important was lost in the process, and people started to hate it instead. I had big hopes for this site, I was aware of a lot of negative reviews, I didn't listen, and I ended up badly disappointed as well. After using it for myself, I don't understand why this site needs to exist at all, what's the point, what they really can offer that others don't. So they rigoristically judge your hard work with ridiculous rules of acceptance, yet they have nothing to offer themselves. Solution? Take out the middle guy and take all of the pictures and go direct sites, better chances of approval, less time wasted. Writing or generating meta keywords isn't a big deal, there are tons of existing solutions.
