Hi so the review process is very slow, and the feedback is often generic and repetitive. Reviewers frequently just copy and paste the same comments without clearly explaining what is actually wrong or how to improve the work.
The process is also inconsistent. Sometimes a submission is rejected with some feedback, but after no change and just resubmission, it gets approved. I hope you improve both the speed and the quality of reviews by providing more specific, consistent, and timely feedback

Total dissapointment
I feel deeply outraged and saddened by this experience. I was in urgent need of a job and came across WireStock on LinkedIn. Initially, I was happy since I hadn’t been able to find work anywhere else. Although the team was very understanding, patient, and always willing to address my questions, the truth is that the compensation is far from satisfactory. The effort I put into creating a single image is worth far more than a mere dollar. Because of this, I feel that my art and knowledge are not being adequately valued. Art requires time, dedication, and effort, whether it’s photography, 3D rendering, or illustration. Comparing their demands and expectations with the payment they offer, I believe they are being excessively strict and unfair toward artists.
I was surprised when, months after completing 50 sets of images, they offered me another 30 sets with the same payment per image. This is a complete abuse and reveals that they genuinely do not care about the treatment of artists. What’s even more concerning is that we were never informed about the purpose of our images, creating uncertainty and distrust.
I am deeply disappointed by the time and effort I invested in this project. While I acknowledge that the staff I interacted with were kind and willing to help, I cannot overlook that, in terms of time versus compensation, working with them is simply not worth it.

Frustrating Illustration Edit Project
I was participating in an illustration editing project where I had to submit 50 sets of illustrations and they pay you for each one that gets approved. I had a good experience with Wirestock regarding this project, at first. They reviewed the content fast and often, and they were prompt on the payment. The only problem was that the requirements and guidelines were confusing and aleatory. I wanted to know the exact requirements so I could submit correct illustrations according to the project's guidelines. I asked for guidance regarding this subject, but they didn't guide me. In the end, they decided not to move forward with my work and I didn't quite understand why. It was very frustrating.

I worked with Wirestock for some time
I worked with Wirestock for some time, and most of my illustrations were accepted without issues. Their team was responsive and always replied to my emails promptly. when I applied for the job, it wasn't clearly stated what my illustrations would be used for. I had to ask directly to find out that my images were being used to train AI models, which made me uncomfortable.
This lack of transparency felt like a breach of trust. I understand that AI is becoming more prevalent in the industry, but artists should have the right to know in a clear way how their work is being used and to opt in or out of such practices.
While I needed the income, I ultimately decided to stop collaborating with Wirestock because I couldn't support a platform that didn’t prioritize ethical standards in its dealings with contributors.
For me, trust and respect for creators' rights are non-negotiable. I hope Wirestock addresses this in the future to rebuild trust within the artistic community.

A great idea, horrible execution, so easy to fix
I started using Wirestock almost 3 years ago. Before that, I uploaded pictures to a few stock agencies. But because English is my second language, I had a lot of trouble with the keywords.
When I started, Wirestock was free to use and took 15% of the sales. The number of pictures I could submit every month depended on the amount of percentage of images that were accepted. If you ask me, a great way to do that. Because I completely understood that Wirestock does not want to spend time on media that is probably not good for the stock market. For me, that was over 90%, so I could submit quite a few images every month and my portfolio was growing quickly.
I took around 6 months to get my first sales (at that time I had around 800 items). And slowly I got more sales. And Wirestock added more stock sites, so I was happy.
The interface was easy to use, the mobile app was a great way to quickly see how many images were waiting for a review. Adding new images using the website took only a few clicks.
Then the review times became much longer because a lot of new users joined the platform. That was totally understandable, but there were a few small issues, there was no single indication how long is would take. Also, sometimes newer images were reviewed faster than older images. During this time, they also lowered the number of items you could submit a few times (without sending an email). For me, that felt a bit scam like but during that time I also got my first payouts.
After a while, Wirestock introduced a paid plan. This plan got you more items to submit and quicker reviews. After a while, the review times outside the paid plans became more than a month. So I started paying for using Wirestock, what is still find strange until this day is that for the paid plan they still take 15% of my sales.
Then they also slowly started making the dashboard worse. First, they removed a few cards that showed me how many images are waiting for a review. But during a stream, they showed a new dashboard, but until today I have never seen that dashboard. Then submitting images would take a few more clicks. and everything would take more time.
During all of this the communication would be terrible. Occasionally the site would be offline for almost a day without any email. They changed the dashboard without any communication. There was a Slack channel where questions could be asked, but that was closed at that time.
Then they started AI features to the site. And adding that to the dashboard. As someone that would never use that. I was getting more and more angry because they could make AI features but the dashboard was getting worse every update.
So I sent a really long email with all my complaints. I will include the list of items that are broken at the end. None of the items are fixed even today (over 2 years ago).
I really want to like it, but I keep being very frustrated using the platform. At this time, it is 2 stars for me. That is only because they make me a small amount of money. If they only a few things of the dashboard, it could be 3 stars. When they get better at communicating, another star. And for the last star I really think they should lower the 15% commission they take.
TLDR:
Dashboard is broken:
- Ctrl selecting images during the submission opens then in an new tab instead of only selecting them
- Submitting multiple items is really buggy. Every so often what you fill in is not done for all items and when clicking submit it error’s out.
- When submitting images as editorial, you cannot fill in the extra info input. But images will get rejected for not filling it in.
- In the table with all your sales, you cannot click the item to go to that item.
- There is no easy way to see the number of items that are waiting for a review.
- When going to the details page of a item, you cannot see all separate sales only combined.
- Things could be done with fewer clicks to make using it so much faster.
- I want to be able to remove all the AI stuff from the dashboard.
- On some screen sizes, the UI is broken and keeps moving and flickering.
- The site has so many JavaScript errors that the site sometimes uses over a gb of ram, and some antivirus programs block the site.
- The log in on mobile devices does not seem to work, and I get logged out almost every time.
Communication is terrible:
- Site is down for hours without any communication.
- Payments are weeks late without any communication.
- "Priority 1-2 day content review" got removed from the premium plan without any notice.
- Sometimes sales are
Hard to make money.
- Paid the premium plan for two years (about $70 each year) submitted over 1600 items. And made $198 so in two years made only about $50.

Fell short on delivering good service.
I don't know what this company is smoking but the service is slow and none responsive. I paid for their subscription which they say includes 24/7 support to see if that would make a difference but nothing, no response to my two emails that I sent them. I guess lost my money on that one. I closed the account, don't waste your time and money with Wirestock.

Were OK, but charges wont work for me
They were a reasonable agency to be with. Their web interface is limited, but I got used to its quirks. But recently they introduced a charge to sell stock on their site. Perhaps this works if you have 30,000+ images and are making a healthy profit, but I was building my portfolio, and simply do not earn enough to justify the expense of paying for their site. I suspect I am not alone, and that Wirestock may have shot themselves in the foot with this move. Needless to say, no more stock will be going their way...
