So far, very good!
I have only been using Winhost for a few days but so far I am pretty impressed. I have a couple of old Classic ASP sites that were crippled by my old webhost. The sites don't get much traffic but they are a hobby for me and I wanted to get them running again... I found Winhost by searching for "Classic ASP hosting". They support the Persits suite of tools which is critical for me. Transferring my first site and database over was pretty painless. I will work on the other site in the near future. Their support is very quick to reply to email but there is no chat or phone option. I find their control panel to be utilitarian if not overly friendly. I believe they wrote their own control panel rather than use something like Plesk. So far, it has done just about everything I needed it to do although it just doesn't feel "friendly". If I was new to web hosting, I probably would feel lost but I have done this dance several times and I know what to look for... One potential gotcha: They do not include daily site backups as part of their plans. You have to pay a few dollars for it monthly. This is the first time I have seen a webhost charge for backups. By this point, I think most us take that for granted.

Thanks Joe. We do perform daily backups of everything, for our own disaster recovery purposes. You can get a backup through support if you ever find yourself in need of one. We started offering the site backup service because it's more convenient and flexible (you have control of the backups - and the backup and retention schedule - rather than requesting them from us), and because it's off-site storage, which a lot of customers asked us for. Since it's off-site storage and not on our network, it comes at a cost, unfortunately, but we've tried to keep that cost very low. As for Plesk, it's very limiting. When a new version of something or a new technology comes out, Plesk users have to wait for Plesk to include it (if they will). Running our own control panel allows us to offer new technology (and new versions of old technology) much more quickly.
