I inadvertently purchased the 2023 version of willmaker twice. The good news, once I was able to speak with a customer service representative, the company promptly refunded one of the two orders. The only negative is that finding a number to call was way too difficult. Secondly, getting through the automated phone system to speak to someone who could help was difficult. In the end, all is good.

This software was recommended to me so I purchased it. I like that I do not have to store my personal information "on-line" and that I can download the software and use in the privacy of my home. Questions were simple enough to answer and the documents printed out nicely, however I am unsure if these documents will be completely honored in my State of Florida. I feel like I need to make an appointment with an Attorney to have them reviewed for legality and accuracy, otherwise I am satisfied with what I paid for. Thank you.

My wife and I found the experience straight forward and easy.

Quicken Willmaker 2022 definitely got the job done. I gave it 4 of 5 stars only because I wish the final (printed) format was more "eye friendly", perhaps a block style so pertinent information stood out more then the legalese.

Review for Nolo: Being halfway through end-of-life planning, here is what I would have liked to have known when I started: 1. Read Liza W. Hanks excellent Nolo book on California estate planning. She’s the best. Then read it again, take notes, figure out if you know what you are doing. Skim it a third time, seriously. Understand POD/TOD, for example. 2. Only then get Nolo’s 2023 Willmaker and play with it, reading excellent dropdown menus, enjoying their programmed text that leads you only where you need to go. If you don’t do #1 first, you will be frustrated: like teaching a pig to dance. 3. Print out the results and if they do what you want, go to the witness-notarize step. Congratulate Self. Then do the rest—funding, writing memo to trustee with password to computer, etc. 4. Or—transfer to WORD and edit for anything you want to tweak.. Nolo does not recommend this. I just typed it all over because there were a few things that didn’t work, an exercise. 5. Plan for this to take more time than you thought. But do it anyway. You are not immortal. I paid a law firm for their package and got a Boat Anchor of irrelevant and unreadable boiler plate. Whatever you decide about legal hand-holding, do the Hanks/Will-maker exercise first or you will get whatever flavor of trust the lawyer likes. Maybe not your flavor.

I would have rated my experience a 5 had email responses I sent were returned to me as undeliverable and I never got a response to any phone calls I made to Customer Service.

I purchased Quicken WillMaker 2022 with no problems at all. I was interested in the download version. The email providing me the temporary password for the online version indicated that to get the download version I would need to email customer service to obtain it. I did just that and after 5 days I received a link to the download. Everything worked out but I wish the link had been sent sooner. I've used earlier versions of the product so I'm sure this version will meet my needs although I wish I didn't need to keep buying it every time I needed to update my will.

The ease, program flexibility, and relatively low cost of Willmaker motivated me to finally begin and finish my important documents (will, health directive, health and financial POAs). Note: To print with all of the page numbers/description in the footers, I had to install Adobe (used a free version). One recommendation: Allow moving of bequests to higher or lower ranks on the screen; it was a little pain to keep retyping. All in all, very satisfied.
