What we were supposed to be eating
Beef weren't even in North America, but for the railroads and trying to starve the Indians. This what we would be having.
Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

Buffalo meat has been an amazing, late-in-life discovery for me. I live red meat but have high cholesterol, so it allows me to eat well with no concern for fat content. All my orders have worked great except one, where the delivery service (FedEx) delayed arrival by a day and the meat was thawed. Wild Idea immediately sent another shipment at no cost to me. That's really top notch customer service.

What more could I want? Healthy food, from animals treated with respect and dignity, helping to sustain the Great Plains in the process, and very friendly, kind, helpful staff. Always feel like I am communicating with friends as opposed to being a state or so away. You have a lifetime customer in me

I have been ordering Wild Idea buffalo meat for a couple of years now. It is hands down the best buffalo around. It is more tender and tastier than the buffalo I can get at my food co-op, and all for about the same price. I have had people over for dinner and had them ask about where I got this terrific meat. A couple of them have become Wild Idea customers. I am impressed with the way Wild Idea raises the buffalo. The animals range the prairie, just as buffalo should. They eat grass, don't get pumped full of antibiotics or growth hormones, and are butchered humanely. It is easy to order from Wild Idea. They are fast and accurate with shipping. I like to order featured packages because they often have items that I might not have thought of ordering but I end up loving (example: cilantro and lime marinated steak). The packages also make this premium quality meat a little more affordable.

There are some serious bison stewards in the US now and I am pleased to place Wild Idea on my list. I found their site fun and easy to use. I ordered a number of cuts and they arrived in perfect condition, everything still fully frozen. Packaging was sturdy and the added sheets with cooking suggestions was a nice touch. Most everything is still in the freezer, but I can say that the jerky is delicious!

I order from Wild Idea Buffalo Co. about once a month. It is the only red meat I will consume, as it's not pumped full of antibiotics or other drugs and chemicals. I have probably placed over 20 orders with them and the meat always arrived totally frozen, and ready to throw in the freezer. I love that they keep adding new products to their store. My dogs absolutely love the meaty bones, their teeth have not tartar and are whiter than a dentists teeth.

Luv your products, especially the Bison Burgers. We have tried many of your items, like the stew metals and the different steaks, and have enjoyed everyone of them. When stocks get low, we order and await the delivery, knowing that any product delivered will be as good as the last that we ordered. Keep up the good work, and keep that Bison com king.

I cannot believe how easy it easy to put sustainably harvested local buff on our table. It is as easy as stepping in a "pie" on a buff ranch. The service is excellent, the meat delicious, and our family loves the taste.
