Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

I'm so happy with the taste of the bison compared to the grass fed beef I had been buying. It's sweet with a slightly mineral tang that I really like. The fact that the animals are completely grass fed and field harvested along with the fact that bison and grassland just go together makes me feel really comfortable about supporting this company. I've made 3 or 4 orders to date and the service has been impeccable on every one.

Bison meat is a great alternative to beef. It's similar is texture, is more nutritious . There is less fat and calories. More importantly, Bison are grass-fed, allowed to roam, and are not given hormones, antibiotics and other chemicals.

This is the BEST liver I have ever tasted. . .Try it. . .you'll LOVE it ! A little Organic coconut oil in the frying pan, coat the liver with salt and peppered flour,then quickly sear the liver on both sides. (don't overcook) Turn the heat down to low, add two or three tablespoons of homemade chili sauce, cover with water and simmer until sauce & flour are thickened. Wow ! Yummy ! My "mama" knew how to cook it & my "daddy" loved it. . .like I said. . .YUMMY !

Wild Idea was the 5th company we tried. Having had the best steak of our lives (buffalo) on a trip to Colorado....we were hooked on buffalo and wanted more. Our local organic store was okay and company after company that we tried provided either poor choices, poor packaging, tough cuts or poor customer service. Wild Idea Buffalo has it all. We have placed many orders and have never been disappointed in anything we order. The Wild Idea Buffalo cuts are generous, fresh and sealed beautifully. Shipped to NJ in summer it arrives frozen solid and airtight. My husband and I butcher game, so the cuts and the packaging are important to us. We will stick with Wild Idea Buffalo. They clearly stand far and above the other companies. They obviously take great pride in providing an excellent product! Theirs steaks are truly excellent!

Highly recommend to anyone who is health-conscious or who just wants a yummy alternative to regular beef. We have enjoyed the breakfast sausage and buffalo ground beef in hamburgers and spaghetti. My boys love it.

I love this company and the Buffalo meat I have tried already.
