Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

I absolutely love the buffalo in just about every form its offered in. The only problem is it doesn't make any sense ordering unless I'm getting a lot shipped. Since the shipping starts at $23 I can't order jus a few items. My dogs live the bison heart strips but I can't order them because it doubles the price. Otherwise this is by far the best tasting buffalo on the market and I've tried them all.

very tasty, was still cold when it arrived took longer than i thought it would. ordered omaha steaks at the same time it arrived 4 days sooner Rapid City is only an additional 500 miles but i guess that is what it is Jerry Hardin

I enjoyed the variety of choices and have thoroughly enjoyed the items I have had thus far, the Thai steak and the flat iron. I appreciate your company's approach and philosophy and the healthy alternatives you offer. However, it comes with a price which allows me to order something only when I feel indulgent.

We actually love buffalo and since my husband is fighting cancer we need to eat ONLY grass fed. I had hoped we could find a healthy alternative to hotdogs but that's the one thing we don't like, the buffalo hotdogs have an odd taste, must be the seasoning.

I received the order on time, and was at home to receive the package from Fed Ex, so it didn't sit out. I found that some packages inside were not completely frozen. I placed another order today and I hope it arrive frozen because I will not be at home to meet the fed ex man at the door. My new favorite is the kippered buffalo. Never heard of it before, and this time ordered three packs. I tried a store bought buffalo jerky, hoping it might taste the same as the kippered. Not even close. The kippered was clean tasting, not overly sweet like the store bought, and actually tasted like meat. Oh yeah, easy to chew.

I am pleased with the ordering and the product I received. However some of the vacuumed sealed packages were damaged and they leaked blood all over the box. The damaged packages were also more prone to freezer burn.

Really loved the burger and the hot dogs, the brats on the other hand were a disappointment to an extent. I loved the taste, but they left a very thick tallow taste in my own, and my wife's mouth, for about 30 mins afterwards. Did not like that and accordingly so, will not order those again. The after taste did not go away until I brushed my teeth later in the evening. Like I said, I really liked the hot dogs and burger, even the taste of the brats, just not the lingering after taste. Will order burger and dogs again. Enjoyed them.

I will order more however can only get specials for ground with a large family. Wish you had 3 pound packages
