I have requested the deletion of my account and personal data four times since February, yet my name, surname, photos and other personal information are still publicly displayed on Wiingy’s website. I was even told my data would be deleted within a few days. It still hasn’t happened. This is a serious lack of respect for users’ privacy and a completely unacceptable way to handle personal data. I am now considering reporting the matter to the relevant data protection authorities and taking legal action. Think twice before giving Wiingy your personal information.

How do you improve your conversion rate when the platform keeps taking away your leads? I’m a tutor on Wiingy, and I’ve now had 4 leads cancelled. The last two were cancelled without even properly notifying me. so, they jsut blamed me that i havent accepted the demo on time. Instead, I received this: “Your lead priority has been reduced due to low demo conversion. Improve future demo performance to receive more leads.” The platform controls the leads. The platform controls the allocation. The platform is involved in the demo/enrollment process. And tutors receive only around 30% of the student’s payment. But when a student doesn't convert, the tutor gets penalized with fewer opportunities. So how exactly am I supposed to improve? Fewer leads → fewer demos → fewer conversions → even fewer leads. That's not really a performance improvement system. That's a self-fulfilling prophecy. I've already raised a ticket, but getting meaningful communication or finding someone to actually address the issue is another challenge. I don't expect special treatment. I expect transparent metrics, fair attribution, proper notification, and a real opportunity to work. If you're a tutor considering an online teaching platform, don't just ask: “How much will I earn?” Ask: “Who controls whether I get to earn at all?” #OnlineTeaching #Tutors #EdTech #Freelancing #RemoteWork #Education #Wiingy

This is my first time leaving a review because I had to. While I had my plan on pause, I decided to delete my account. After I did it, I realized I didn’t cancel the subscription so I tried to log back in, but obviously I couldn’t. So I emailed their customer support team asking for the cancellation of my subscription in case it doesn’t get automatically canceled after deleting my account. A month later, I got charged by Wiingy. When I got on a phone call, a support agent said my account is still active and the subscription is not canceled. I explained my situation and asked for a full refund, but they said they could only give a partial refund per their policy. They did not take accountability for ignoring my email, which led to this issue and did nothing to make up for it. I have had one teacher and she was a really good teacher. However, as others mentioned, they always come up with excuses and match you with a completely different teacher. You cannot even search for their profiles on the platform. Any available spots of the instructors you see on the platform seem to be false and they will always call you immediately and refer you to someone else you can’t even look up in their system.

They connect students with top-notch tutors from many fields. Really appreciate the help on my personal learning journey. Classes are reasonably priced for their quality.

My experience, as well as my friends.. This is NOT a 1 off experience... that's been confirmed it. They bait and switch you, and make excuses for the instructor they "supposedly" have, but appears doesn't exist or work with them. You're not even chatting with the actual instructor, as they lead you to believe. It's not a coincidence that the same thing happened to me, and a friend of mine, two separate instances weeks apart. You request a demo lesson, you think you're chatting with the instructor, which you are not. The person you're chatting with confirms the demo lesson. Then the day when the lesson starts or shortly before. Someone from Wiingy tells you, at the last minute, that the instructor has an emergency, or they can't get in contact with the instructor, or is already booked with another student, or some other falsehood, and they try to give you a different instructor. Although they've confirmed the demo lesson several times with you.. supposedly... Don't fall for it.... You'd also see the filter search on their website is completely broken, does not work and sends you to an error page. Their 3 hour before confirmation email for your demo is OFF an hour it's sent 4 hours before... They say instructors can't accept new students, but on the site, all their time slots are open to request a lesson for new students. But you're told via text they don't have open time slots? I even offered to pay for the first lesson, so it wouldn't be a freebie, of course they couldn't do that, if the instructor doesn't exist or work with Wiigy any longer... Requested that my profile be deleted, since you can't do it yourself.. They ignore your requests, regardless of how you ask through their app or from the website... I tried multiple times.. nothing, not even a response from their published email address... Buyer beware this company is not as it seems. All those nice looking instructors are only nice photos. To further confirm this is a bait and switch, I went and found the instructor they have on their site, and have had lessons with them. They also confirmed their not on Wiingy and we're trying to remove their profile from the Wiingy site as well. They laughed when I asked about it. Now months after all this garbage... they're sending me spam with no way to unsubscribe. They completely ignore you.. Everything this company does is unethical...
