It’s saved us worry. Four stars because the battery life is brief and every once in a while we'll get a storm of false positives, often when our miscreant is right at our feet. But it ALWAYS detects real escapes and that, of course, is what's important.

I recently purchased the Whistle Go Explore for my dog and have had issues with the looseness of the device to the collar attachment. It once become detached from the collar attachment when my dog was in the backyard, Yesterday I noticed the entire unit was missing from dog's collar. Searching the backyard I found it and noticed one of the bars of the hook and loop collar attachment had broken completely off allowing the entire device to separate from the collar. I ordered a new hook and loop attachment yesterday. It's my opinion you do not build these units strong enough and I'm wondering how long the new one will last.

Fast connection to a customer service rep; quick answer. Disappointed they couldn't replace my damaged Whistle, but they offered a discount on a new purchase and I got one ordered right away. Thanks!

The site was easy to use. My only issue was that I couldn't get the clip on Whistle holder on its own, I had to buy the clip and the velcro attachments as a set.

Spent over $200 on whistle 3 collar including subscription and there is to much of a delay when My dog escaped from our yard. Tracking is late and your pet could write a good note by the time you "find their location" using the tracker. Forget using this product if you have a small yard. You have to use whistle "boundaries" to set property layout. Which is useless because we needed out dog to stay in our yard not whistle boundaries. AND FORGET TRYING TO GET HELP RETURNING THIS PRODUCT. I have tried for over a week to get a return label email. Just an email, and nothing friendly enough on the phone just to get you to hang up and think they where helpful. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I did not get a receipt confirmation. ???

I have been using the Whistle tracker on my dog for over 2 years, so I can say with confidence that this tracker is garbage, unreliable, and the company operates borderline unethically with their renewals. For the first year the tracker seemed to work reasonably well, but after that they seemed to start having software problems that never get fixed. We now only get notified about half the time he leaves the property, even when we put him in the car and drive away we don’t get any alerts. Sometimes it takes a half hour for the alert to finally send. When we are out walking the map shows him sometimes miles from where we are, what’s the point of having a tracker to find your dog if it can’t even show location accurately? Lastly be aware that the company after two years will charge your card for another two years without even a notification. When I called to complain and ask that my account be cancelled they stated that I would have to forfeit the entire two year amount because I approved auto-renewal. When have you ever heard of a company that doesn’t even send it a notification that your renewal is coming up?? Do yourself a favor and find a company that takes you and your pet more seriously than this horrible one.

Big fan in the idea... not as happy with the customer service and execution. The first 5 months were awesome. I knew where my cat was and I could always find her. then her collar fell off with three days of battery left. More if I wasnt using the flash feature while searching three nights in a row for the motionless collar. I was told to download a gps tracking app to LOCATE THE GPS COLLAR! After three days of searching in my neighbors backyard where the app said the collar was. The battery died. I was offered 20% off a new device! I explained it was their fault if there gps wasn’t accurate enough to be found. They fought and then gave me a “complimentary replacement” which showed up 5 days after they said it would. I had to call about 8 times. One person spent 15 minutes on the phone with me then never followed up with the email they promised and didn’t leave notes on my account. A new person picked up every time so I had to re-explain the entire situation every time I called. They ask who you are when you call and to verify your email EVEN THOUGH YOUR CALLER ID PULLS UP YOUR ACCOUNT. I felt like I was making an insurance claim with Progressive or Geico. I fully recommend getting this for your pet. As far as the hardware. It’s probably the best pet tracker I’ve come across. However, you are dealing with people who have very little authority and are bound by an automated system. Call in. Do not email. You won’t hear back!
