The only reason that I am giving 2 stars is that my first transaction went reasonably well. However, on my most recent order made 28 days ago, it should the items in stock and I got a notice it was shipping. Then it showed "back-ordered" for almost 4 weeks. Yesterday it said "In Process" for part of the order and my credit card was charged. Then a credit was issued, the order status went back to "Back-ordered" and in a chat, they agent "Jeffery" said it is no longer being stocked and my order was cancelled. HE then basically hung up.

This company no wonder they had to take a chapter 11 bankruptcy they have some of the worst people working at the store no customer service they're very rude even if you pick up something on a Shelf and you go up front and think it's one price it turns out to be another price and they don't really care so this is my last trip ever to West Marine

The in store experience is pretty good in Port Townsend, WA. Knowledgeable people and good deals on markdowns. The online experience sucks. I ordered four items a week ago, two have arrived (separately), and the deck paint I need isn't going to ship for two weeks. Not happy.

order never arrived. no one ever answers and the online chat is just ridic

April 28th purchased 3 products: Balmar alternator protector, Victron Multiplus II and Gold Membership all online. I would get 20% store credit points because of sales promotion. Thee Victron would be store delivered on May 13th. May 14th I checked online and found that the Victron Multiplus II was "No Longer Available" and money was still in my account. On May 21st got email from West Marine about filing Chapter 11 and would be business as usual. On May 26th I checked my bank account and saw a payment of $1164 to West Marine for a Victron Multiplus II and was livid. On May 28th West Marine called me to pick up, but was flaming. June 1st I went in and told cashier I was returning. Cashier said that "because you have not picked it up that I was not charged" called manager up to register and about 5 minutes later was refunded.

Same story as others. No one will answer the phone so it take days or weeks to get anything done. At the end of the day they sent me the wrong item ($400) and wont respond.

The in store service in riverhead was outstanding, they could not have been more helpful and they had everything I needed for first boat. Thank you

the grand haven west marine only has one girl working in there at almost any given time the manager is always gone somewhere poor girl gets no help in there she was a trooper with custmoers vendors and a truck all at once the manager of that store on the other hand not so good noticed him always hiding in the office
