Excellent app for those on a health 2.0…
Excellent app for those on a health 2.0 journey. Modern medicine steps in to manage symptoms with mostly pharmacological, surgical, or sometimes PT interventions. There are so many basic and important health levers at our disposal, but it takes a bit of “untraining” from diet and medical culture. We know we should sleep better, but we’ve lost either the motivation or the understanding of how to do that. We know we should move more- but again we over train or are infrequent. I have found this app to be an excellent mix of personalized data (from wearables, the finger check, self reporting and quizzes) and actionable information (from white paper summaries that are presented as interesting one liners with more information to be read- they seem to center on applicable topics from my data but don’t feel demanding or judgmental.) I find I’m curious about the data enough to get back in and get more readings and dive into provided articles despite having a BS in health sciences. Great topics well presented and the readings give me great actionable direction on small changes I can make in how I run my day. Within a week I’ve already bumped my HRV up to 61 - and I’ve been working without these tools for months and generally been 30s and 40s, twice in the 50s. This feels really huge.

This is a really thoughtful reflection, and thank you for taking the time to write it. What stands out is how you’re using the app not as a set of rules, but as a way to reconnect with those basic health levers (sleep, movement, recovery) without the pressure or "shoulds" that often come with them. That "untraining" you mentioned is real, and it’s not easy. It’s also great to hear that the mix of data and context works for you, not just numbers, but something that actually helps you make small, practical adjustments day to day. That shift in HRV is genuinely impressive, especially given where you started. More than the number itself, it sounds like you’ve found a way to influence it intentionally, which is the bigger win. Really appreciate you sharing this, it’s the kind of experience that helps others see what’s possible.
