genuinely a great platform giving me lots of opportunities, but email notifications are a bit extreme and there are some that are quite spammy that you cannot turn off

Immediately after signing up and spending time filling out all my details, my account was restricted with no reason given. I contacted support through the provided channel, but it has been 14 hours without a single reply. If you do not support users from Bangladesh, state it upfront during registration instead of wasting people's valuable time and effort.

As a principal representing six Wyoming based companies: Corebrain Inc. — Hydroeffacer Corp. — SpiceX, LLC — GroovyTreads, LLC — Exceed100, LLC — Spot-on, LLC, I can tell you with certainty that this place was nothing short of a nightmare when placing our two job posts for Corebrain Inc. Once we were able to place those jobs, we were barraged with fraudulent applicants. Instead of taking corrective action against the fraudsters, they suspended our account with not one communication telling us why. Words cannot express how bad our experience was with this platform — it is truly dumbfounding how they are still in business. The cost in man hours in trying to get our problems resolved with Wellfound exceeds $5k in lost wages. We never did find their recruiter customer support contact information. We had to resort to emailing their talent support and never received a response. Their lack of customer support is basically all you need to know about this company — a company is only as good as its support. Based on our horrible experience with Wellfound, we will NEVER do business with them again. We will stick with the more reliable platforms like LinkedIn, YC Co-Founder Matching, and Hacker News. Update: we were notified today they suspended our account because we used WhatsApp to interview our candidates. If true, by limiting the use of WhatsApp (WA), they are facilitating the fraudulent activity. The best way to catch scammers is to do a live rapid-fire test on WhatsApp, whereby the candidates have to type their answers into WA and AI can analyze the answers on the spot and via the quality of their answers and the time it takes them to answer determine if the candidate is legit. By eliminating one of the most fail-proof ways to catch scammers, one has to wonder why they're on the wrong side. Also, what company in their right mind, tries to dictate to businesses what they can or can't do regarding their hiring protocol? And, what company/platform takes down a job post in the middle of interviews without notifying the company running the job post and discussing the matter with them first? If you take the worst experience one could ever imagine and multiply it by at least 10, you might start getting an idea of what we went through. Consider all that I have said here if you don't believe me, try to get in touch with their support for anything; that will speak volumes. My opinion hasn't changed and it's even more negative now. We are so relieved to have severed ties with this company/platform. We seriously believe with the magnitude of problems we had with them and the overwhelming amount of identity thieves targeting their platform, that their CEO must not be qualified to do the job. It is our opinion that Wellfound needs to tear it all down, including their software, and start all over again. Until then, if you value your time, we would advise staying away. We have learned to appreciate LinkedIn, YC CoFounder and Hacker News all the more after this horrible experience.

By Far The Best Platform of It's Kind that I have found so far! I am a founder with a startup and looking for the right full stack engineer and I have sign up on a few similar sites looking for the perfect match and I will say wellfound has been the best , the others are either confusing or full of spam and fake accounts and Wellfound has actually matched me with real candidates and It has been well worth the time and effort and cost. It is easy to use and it wants feedback as well as bans ppl for misuse which tells me they care and take it serious its not just about making money from whom ever will pay them they actually pay attention and kick off the spam or scams. I believe i will find what i am looking for on this site and i am very pleased they are definitely trustworthy.I am very thankful for them.

A nice platform if you are looking for jobs in startups, but just a few vacancies

Terrible website to look for future prospects. They insist I have to use a company email and their support is generally slow replying every 2 days to an email. Overall, one of the worst experiences with recruiting companis.

Using Wellfound has been a positive experience for me because the platform made it easy to explore startup-job opportunities that align with my goals. I appreciated the clean interface, solid job filters and the fact that many roles posted felt fresh and relevant. While I wished I heard back from more companies, I feel confident in the platform and would recommend it to others looking for growth opportunities.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST. remove / hide messages that I paid for. respond within a week or two. go elsewhere this platform is horrendous. every week my messages 'disappear' with no messaging from wellfound.
