Hi John, Thank you for your feedback — we take situations like this very seriously. After reviewing your shipment, we found that the device was sent in a lightweight paper envelope that was not fully sealed. Unfortunately, this type of packaging is not sufficient to protect a phone during transit, and it can easily tear under normal handling by the carrier. We have provided a video of the package upon arrival showing the condition of the envelope: https://product-image-bucket.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/John's+package.mp4 As noted on our checkout and order confirmation pages, we strongly recommend securely packaging devices (e.g., using a box with proper padding and sealing all edges) to prevent exactly this type of issue. While we understand how frustrating this situation is, the damage occurred during transit due to packaging, which is outside of our control. Carrier insurance also requires proper packaging in order for claims to be approved. That said, we are still backing you up with a $100 as a gesture of goodwill.
